Jill Duggar, one of the famous sisters from TLC's "19 Kids and Counting", recently had a baby shower in anticipation of the birth of her third child. Many of her siblings, family, and friends were at the beautiful party to celebrate with Jill and her husband, Derick Dillard.

One of Jill's sisters, Jessa Duggar, was noticeably absent from photos and videos of the event, and this didn't go unnoticed by fans of the sisters and family. It also triggered rumors that Jill snubbed her or that there was some ongoing sibling conflict.

Jessa Duggar Criticized The Haters

On Thursday, Jill's cousin, Amy Duggar, shared some photos from the baby shower on her Instagram and gushed about how honored she was to host the event. Jessa then commented on her post, writing, "It was so fun celebrating this new life," and Amy replied, "Loved seeing you!"

A fan then commented on Amy's post that the pictures and videos made it seem like Jessa and her other sisters didn't attend the baby shower. Jessa quickly responded to the hater and wrote, "Please let's not assume there's a negative motive behind everything we do and do not do."

The "Counting On" alum continued, "These rumors make me angry, and I'm here to put a stop to it. The narrative these kinds of comments put forward is a false one. Simply not true." The 29-year-old then explained that there were scheduling issues and that "pretty much everyone else was out of town whether for a wedding, family reunion, or beach trip."

She wrote, "Summertime is busy and you cannot always coordinate 19+ schedules. Anyone with more than one adult kid should know that. My mom [Michelle Duggar] and all of us sisters + SIL love her dearly and she knows that!"

She Spends Time With Sister Jill Duggar

Jessa also explained that she spends a lot of time with Jill "even if there aren't photos circulating on the internet to prove it." She concluded her statement by asking her fans and followers to "stop this nonsense" and "quit spreading hate" because Jill "has family support."

At this point, Amy chimed into the conversation to defend her cousin. She wrote, "We had a beautiful turn out and enjoyed just being in the moment. There wasn't any drama and Jill was glowing!" The photos do show that the party was fun and that Jill looked very happy with her friends and family.

Jill Has Had Some Drama With The Family

Many fans suspected that the absence of several family members from Jill's baby shower was due to her previous conflict over their famous TLC series. In 2017, Jill left the show after featuring in the previous six seasons.

In a 2020 YouTube video, she said, "It was a really difficult decision but something we knew we really needed to do for our family. We don't regret leaving the show." A few months later, during an interview with Us Weekly, she explained that the decision had put her in a sensitive place with several family members.

Jill said, "There's been some distancing there. We're not on the best terms with some of my family. We've had some disagreements, but we're working toward healing definitely and restoration, but we're having to kind of just take some time and heal."

This Wasn't Jessa Duggar's First Brush With Haters

The rumors about her not attending Jill's baby shower aren't the first time Jessa has had to deal with haters on social media. In January this year, she addressed trolls who were spreading rumors that she and her husband, Ben Seewald, were gifted a home from her parents.

A fan commented on one of her posts showing off the home and wrote, "Aw! What a nice gift from your daddy," alongside an eye-rolling emoji. Jessa responded to the comment and wrote, "That is so stupid and an outright lie."
