On Tuesday night, Carlos Santana collapsed on stage during a performance in Michigan.

According to Page Six, a representative for the “Smooth” singer, now 74, told the outlet that he was overcome by heat exhaustion and dehydration. Fans were concerned after Santana was seen being carried off the stage in a stretcher. Fortunately, sources report that he is now “doing well.”

Although he seems to be recovering, he is postponing six shows of his “Miraculous Supernatural” 2022 Tour with Earth, Wind & Fire “out of an abundance of caution for the artist’s health.”

This isn’t the first time that Santana has had to take some time off performing. According to Variety, he had to take a break in December for an “unscheduled heart procedure,” but seemed to make a quick recovery.

Unfortunately for fans, Carlos Santana isn’t the only artist who is postponing several tour dates. “Stitches” singer Shawn Mendes recently announced that he is postponing three weeks of tour dates to focus on his mental health.

“I’ve been touring since I was 15 and to be honest it’s always been difficult to be on the road away from friends and family,” he explained. “After a few years off the road, I was ready to dive back in, but the decision was premature and unfortunately the toll of the road and the pressure has caught up to me and I’ve hit a breaking point.”

“After speaking with my team and health professionals, I need to take some time to heal and take care of myself and my mental health, first and foremost,” he continued. “As soon as there are more updates I promise I will let you know love you guys.” He capped off the post with a red heart emoji.
