Kailyn Lowry was in no mood to tolerate the haters today. The "Teen Mom 2" star took to Instagram with an adorable snap of herself and a new addition to her family. While the #itsaboy didn't reveal a new baby, it did reveal that the MTV face has added a new pup to her household.

Fans were introduced to what appeared to be a little bulldog as Kailyn posed for the camera from inside a vehicle. The star smiled for her picture wearing a blue-and-white top, no makeup, and her glasses. She announced her family as having "[grown] by one more."

Kailyn's post proved popular in no time, racking up over 10,000 likes within just 12 minutes of going live. Fan comments largely seemed to throw Lowry the thumbs-up, but not everyone was out to shower the mother of three with love.

"Those dogs kill people," one fan wrote.

Kailyn fired back.

"People kill people. You still surround yourself with them, right?" she replied.

The interaction itself launched a fan response, with most users appearing to back Kailyn.

"That response was amazing. You go girl," one fan wrote.

It's been a turbulent year for Kailyn, pet-wise. The star was traumatized after her dog Bear died in August 2019, although she's since brought Karma into the family.

Bear was put down due to his health – something that Kailyn had to explain to her three sons, Isaac, Lincoln, and Lux.

"We're going to take Bear to the vet, and they're going to give him a shot," Kailyn told her sons.

"He won't be in pain anymore?" Isaac asked his mom.

"Yup," Kailyn replied. "He's going to die peacefully, and then we're not going to come home with him."

Kailyn found herself under fire as she introduced her new dog Karma to social media earlier this year. With fans feeling that Kailyn had click-baited her followers into a false pregnancy reveal, the star's fanbase was left furious – Kailyn even deleted the snap. Karma did make a return, although Kailyn waited quite some months for it.

Fake pregnancy reveals have become a bit of a thing over on the "Teen Mom" franchise. Former "Teen Mom 2" star Jenelle Evans posted an ultrasound pic earlier this year, while "Teen Mom OG" star Catelynn Lowell has done the same, even teasing a gender reveal.

Kailyn's popularity is down to her appearances on the MTV franchise, no two ways about it. The star has 3.8 million Instagram followers, but she hasn't let fame go to her head.

Speaking to Inked Mag, Kailyn openly voiced her gratitude for what the show has done for her.

"I have to give a lot of thanks to the show for opening those doors to me. It’s provided me with connections and networking opportunities that made my other endeavors possible," she said.

And we wouldn't have it any other way. Over on "Teen Mom OG," Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra live on the "Baltierra Farm," frequently showing fans horses and chickens. The show's newest member, Mackenzie McKee comes with some giant dogs, although her headline-making of late has been more about the death of her mom Angie Douthit than the pups.

Chelsea Houska also has her cat Tuna, with Instagram videos frequently showing her and daughter Aubree playing with the family pet.
