It seems Hilaria Baldwin isn’t ready to suffer in silence any longer. The wife of actor Alec Baldwintook to Instagram on Wednesday to share the “abusive comments” that she’s been getting.

It’s no surprise that Hilaria would be the target of some ire. After all, the “30 Rock” actor has been a controversial figure for his outspoken political views. Last October, he was on the set of the Western film “Rust” when a gun he was holding went off. The bullet struck and killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and injured director Joel Souza. Baldwin has since tried to distance himself from the tragedy.

However, just last month, Alec became the subject of controversy once again when he interviewed disgraced director Woody Allen on Instagram. Instead of asking Allen about the sexual assault allegations that were the subject of the HBO documentary “Allen v. Farrow,” Baldwin asked Allen about his future in film and his upcoming French movie that will start filming in Paris this fall.

All that being said, Hilaria seems to be getting a fair amount of hate mail thrown her way, and most of it seems to be in regards to her pregnancy.

Although she announced that she was going on an understandable social media hiatus early on in the year, she later returned with the announcement that she is expecting a baby girl this fall. Although she’s been sharing snaps of her pregnant belly on Instagram, some fans are sending her “harassment” about her growing body.

Hilaria began her post by saying “It’s a long one that I spliced together different thoughts throughout a day.” She admitted that the video is “choppy” and told her followers to “feel free to keep on scrolling by” if they weren’t interested in what she had to say.

“I took this a few days ago and sat on it,” she explained. “Sometimes I feel guilty taking up too much airtime here, so I try to keep things under a minute. I also love to keep things weird and funny and light…because that is who I am…but I am also a mother and a woman, a daughter, and a friend, a sister to you all…This is longer but feels important to me.”

She admitted that she felt “a little emotional” but blamed it on “the pregnancy hormones.” Hilaria then explained that she’s “been doing so much research and learning on why some women are inhumane to each other. I want to understand where it stems from, so I can try to be a part of the solution.”

'As women, we have been taught to live with abuse around us'

In the video above, some of the screenshots say that Hilaria’s baby bump is actually getting smaller instead of growing larger, and some seem to be insinuating that she’s faking her pregnancy.

“I share with you here some abusive comments I get because I’ve learned that so many of you are suffering in silence from this kind of harassment,” she went on to say. “These people often get radicalized in online hate forums. May my example make you know that you are not alone and you are always allowed a seat at the table.”

“As women, we have been taught to live with abuse around us,” she continued. “Because we have been conditioned for this, many feel that they are justified in doing it to each other. It’s a longer conversation…but one I want to keep on having, because as we live right now, people are dealing with depression and suicide because of this abuse that often goes on in quiet enough ways that only the abused knows. In our minds and lips we try to make sense of the abuse. Do we deserve it? How can we rationalize it?”

“The answer is: you can’t,” she concluded. “It doesn’t and will never make sense. This is behavior of mean girls who grow up and continue their sororicide.” Hilaria signed off her post, saying, “Love you and Adelante.”

Although that was a pretty heavy post, Hilaria DOES know how to have fun on social media. Check out this cute exchange between Hilaria and her husband revisiting hit songs from the 90s by clicking here!
