Why Did Gwen Stefani Drop an F-Bomb On Blake Shelton?!

Gwen Stefani has been dating Blake Shelton for over four years – and she's revealed just why she called her man a "f---ing a--hole." The No Doubt singer spoke to Extra in a backstage interview at The Voice's semi-finals on Monday, explaining that it all had to do with a song.

What went down?

Back when Blake first played her their soon-to-be-debuted joint song "Nobody But You," Gwen wasn't too pleased with the country singer. Well, at first, that is.

Gwen apparently figured that Blake would be going solo for the track, having no clue that he was about to ask the blonde to join him and make it a duet.

“Neither one of us wrote this song. It came to us, and when Blake heard it we were working out in the gym,” Gwen told the media outlet.

“He’s playing the song and I’m like, ‘You are such a fcking a*hole. Everybody sings these incredible songs,'” she added.

“I am thinking in my brain, and I was like, ‘God, I wish I was on this song…'” Gwen continued.

Gwen was about to luck out, though, with Blake set to ask his lady to do him the honors and put her voice on the track, too.

December 13 will mark the release of Blake's new album. Fully Loaded: God's Country will feature the couple's joint track.

Gwen then revealed how she felt right when Blake asked her to duet with her.

“He turns and says, ‘God, I wish you were on this song,'” she shared of the moment he asked her to duet with him again, “and I was like, ‘I was just thinking that!'” Gwen exclaimed.

“And he’s like, ‘I was just thinking that! You have to be on this song,'” she added, noting, “That’s kind of how it happened," she added.

Please. It's Gwen and Blake. Anything from these two is enough to get pulses raising. Extra also interviewed Gwen about the new track with The Voice co-star John Legend present. Yup, he's pumped, too.

"I'm dying to hear this song," Legend said.

Celebrity couples might come super-high-profile with the likes of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West (or WIll and Jada Pinkett-Smith), but there's a ton of love for Gwen and Blake. The two even spent their traditional couples Thanksgiving together in Oklahoma. Well, with the unusual exception of a Cheetos-stuffed turkey.

Gwen and Blake have actually featured on the same track in the past. "Go Ahead And Break My Heart" brought Gwen's voice onto Shelton's If I'm Honest album back in 2016. There was also the 2017 collaboration for "You Make It Feel Like Christmas." This one featured on Gwen's Christmas album.

If there's a great time of year for a celebrity couple to feature jointly on a track together, it's Christmas, right? Gwen and Blake are likely to deliver some stunning family holiday snaps, although nothing seals the deal like a record.

For real. We're still waiting. Back in October, a source reporting to Page Six suggested that these two may well tie the knot soon.

"It was clear within a few months of Gwen and Blake becoming a couple that this was for keeps, it’s now just a matter of when and where," they said.

“We’re all expecting a wedding soon. I don’t think there will be a big engagement, but they will have an intimate wedding — I would say within the year they’ll be married," the source added.

Still nothing, though. Well, we can only hope.
