After almost seven years away, Adele made a return to the spotlight in the grandest way possible with the release of her fourth studio album, "30" in November 2021.
Since releasing the chart-topping project that talked about "divorce, babe. Divorce," Adele has undergone a major evolution in how she deals with the public.
Not only did she lose weight, undergoing a major physical transformation, but we have seen her in the public eye more than we ever had in the 14 years since she first stole our hearts with her debut album, "19."
Now, Adele is opening up about who led to her decision to be out and about, and it's none other than her boyfriend Rich Paul.
Adele Received A Heartwarming Advice From BF Rich Paul
The English singer joined host Lauren Laverne on the latest episode of “BBC Sounds’ Desert Island Discs” to discuss all things about her life, including her romance with Paul.
While chatting with Laverne about her early years of fame, the “Hello” singer revealed that after the release of her second album, “21” — which won her several accolades including a Grammy — she struggled with adjusting to stardom.
”It was really intense and at times it was really hard to enjoy because I couldn’t keep up with the pace,” Adele admitted. “It definitely got to the point where sometimes I didn’t know who I was, what day it was.”
The “Rolling In the Deep” songstress shared that dealing with the media interest in her life at the time was difficult as it resulted in her being a “recluse” — something she didn’t particularly enjoy.
”Sometimes it used to be two years and I wouldn’t be seen,” she remarked. When asked what she was doing all the times she stayed away from the public eye, Adele shared that she had a “set-up” of how she moved around without anyone knowing.
However, all of that is in the past now thanks to her sports agent boyfriend.
”I think now the relationship that I’m in. He’s like if you want to go to that restaurant, you should go and try the food at that restaurant. And if you want to go to this birthday party then you should be going. You can’t miss out on these things, what’s the worst that could happen?”
Paul’s advice certainly did a number on Adele as she hasn’t shied away from making numerous public appearances, either at a basketball game, at weddings, or even drag race shows!
The ‘Easy On Me’ Singer Is Looking To Have More Kids
During the interview, the Tottenham native also touched on her desire to expand her family and have more kids.
As you might know, Adele is a proud and doting mother to son Angelo Adkins, whom she welcomed with her ex-husband Simon Konecki.
Adele and Konecki dated for six years before tying the knot in 2018, but their union only lasted three years as they amicably divorced in March 2021.
However, with the divorce way behind her and her relationship with Paul thriving, Adele shared that she might be open to the idea of having more kids.
“I definitely would like a couple more kids. It would be wonderful. If not, I’ve got Angelo,” she commented. As for the state of her relationship with her ex-husband, Adele mentioned that it is going great.
"It was never really tricky because we’re such good friends and over my dead body is my kid having a messy divorce in his life,” she said. “There are no issues and there were no issues, so I guess it was easier to make sure that didn’t happen, but I was blessed with them, and him, (Simon) he’s just the best, you know. And I definitely approached it all with grace and that really paid off.”

Adele’s comment about her ex-husband proves true as Konecki was spotted seated next to Paul in the VIP section at her Hyde Park concert in London over the weekend.
The 15-time Grammy Award winner and Paul became an item in the summer of 2021 after being seen courtside at an NBA game in July 2021.
The lovebirds have since been going strong, making a recent appearance at NBA star Kevin Love’s wedding to Kate Bock a week ago.
