The search of Juice Wrld's airplane and luggage may have contributed to his death after reports surfaced the rapper may have been "swallowing" pain killers in an attempted to hide the evidence.

According to multiple reports, law enforcement officials in Chicago say that during a search of the 21-year-old rapper's luggage the "Lucid Dreams" rapper was seen swallowing several pills that appeared to be Percocet.

Percocet is a powerful opioid that contains acetaminophen and oxycodone.

It is believed, according to the reports, Juice WRLD may have been trying to get rid of the pills, knowing that the group was carrying tons of weed and several firearms.

According to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office, an autopsy was performed on Juice WRLD and they were unable to determine his cause and manner of death.

Authorities say they need results from toxicology, cardiac pathology and neuropathology tests to determine the official cause.

As we reported, Juice Wrld suffered a seizure and went into cardiac arrest after Chicago police and federal agents conducted a search of him and his entourage.

Agents confiscated over 70lbs of Marijuana, and six bottles of codeine cough syrup, and detained two bodyguards for having several guns on the airplane.

The Chicago Police Department said they were notified while the plane was still en route from California that federal authorities believed it was "carrying weapons and narcotics.”

When the plane landed Chicago PD joined federal agents searching the plane and it's contents when it landed. The plane was carrying 10 passengers which included Juice WRLD and his girlfriend.

During the search, cops say a drug-sniffing dog made a “positive alert” on several of the groups pieces of luggage. Officers proceeded to open the containers and uncovered the large amount of weed and the cough syrup.

As for the weapons, agents confiscated two 9 mm handguns with a high-capacity magazine, and a 40-caliber pistol found in a different location.

While the search was being conducted, Juice went into convulsions and collapsed on the floor. His girlfriend told agents on scene he “takes Percocet and has a drug problem."
