Newly surfaced emails have revealed that Lou Taylor, Britney Spears’ former business manager, had several conversations that led to the establishment of Spears’ controversial over a decade-long conservatorship.

The emails are included in a court document filing by Spears’ attorney, Matthew Rosengart. They may be crucial in the ongoing trial between Spears, Taylor, and Taylor’s company Tri Star Sports & Entertainment.

The emails also contradict Taylor’s previous public claims that she had no involvement or role in the creation” of Spears’ conservatorship. Spears has since been freed from the arrangement and is now pursuing justice against those she claims used her.

One of the emails between Taylor and Jamie Spears, Spears’ father, was dated two weeks before Jamie asked the court to put him in charge of his daughters’ personal affairs and estate. In the email, Taylor spoke to Jamie’s lawyers, Jeryll Cohen, and Geraldine Wyle, and wrote, “I look for [sic] to working with you.”

Shortly after, Taylor emailed Jamie privately to inform him that she had spoken to his lawyers about Andrew Wallet, the lawyer who would eventually manage Spears’ money during her conservatorship. She also wrote that Tri Star and Wallet would “serve as co’s [co-conservators]” beside Jamie.

There were emails between Taylor and Wyle days before the conservatorship began about an official statement to the public and press. However, in these emails, Wyle seemed more interested in finding a judge that would give “Jamie the power to administer psychotropic drugs” to Spears.

Another damning thread showed Taylor and Wyle conversing about Spears’ Trust. She wrote, “One of the suggestions that Andrew had was the Trust could pay the bills, and that would get us around a great deal of the court submission issues, HOWEVER, when it is a business related deductible expense those need to be paid out of Britney Brands, or Britney Touring… You will EXPOSE the Trust if you pay business expenses from the Trust.”

In response to the emails, Tri Star’s attorney, Scott Edelman, told Page Six that the emails are all “materially misleading.” He said, “As all the evidence makes abundantly clear, the conservatorship was set up on the recommendation of legal counsel, not Tri Star, and approved by the court for more than 12 [sic] years. In fact, Tri Star was not even the business manager for the conservatorship when it was established.”

However, Edelman never denied that the conversations were real. He added, “Cherry-picked excerpts from emails cannot change the facts, which is why this nonsense will all end once and for all when records are unsealed.”

The emails are just part of the building evidence against Taylor and Tri Star. In December 2021, the New York Times reported that Tri Star had loaned money to Jamie shortly before the conservatorship began. When this news broke, Anthony Palmieri, the president of the National Guardianship Association, said the loan “reeks of conflict of interest.”

In November 2021, a judge finally terminated Spears’ conservatorship, giving her back full control over her money and estate. She and Rosengart have since refused to relent on the trial against Taylor and everyone who exploited Spears.

In an Instagram post, Spears even vowed to sue “sue the s--t out of Tri Star” and wrote that Jamie basically worshipped Taylor and would have done anything for her. Tri-Star only stepped down as Spears’ business manager in November 2020, just a year before it was terminated.

Rosengart is still investigating further into Taylor and her partner, Robin Greenhill. Both of them have repeatedly ignored requests for depositions and refuse to turn over important documents. TriStar has also filed several motions to quash Rosengart’s subpoenas.

In opposition to their motions, Rosengart insisted that Jamie worked with Tri Star to enrich themselves with at least six million and eighteen million dollars, respectively, from Spears’ estate. He told Page Six, “Tri Star has stonewalled since October 2021, choosing to litigate and attack instead of cooperating, and it has still failed to produce a single document called for under the subpoenas.”
