What You Need To Know About Austin and Whitney Dillon's Relationship

2020 is shaping up to be a big year for NASCAR driver Austin Dillon.

Not only is the star preparing for the new racing season and hoping to win the championship, but he's also prepping for a new role.

Austin and his wife Whitney announced they were expecting their first child due in June 2020.

Whitney shared the exciting news on Instagram, the same day the couple celebrated their second wedding anniversary.

In honor of the special occasion, let's take a look at Austin and Whitney's relationship.

Austin and Whitney came from different backgrounds. Austin was born into racing royalty. He's the grandson of NASCAR owner Richard Childress.

With the help of his grandfather, Austin and his younger brother Ty pursued their dreams of being race car drivers. Currently, both drivers are in the top series of NASCAR.

As for Whitney, she grew up in Tennessee, where the attended the University of Chattanooga. She would then go on to become a professional cheerleader and work for the NFL team the Tennessee Titans.

In 2015, she met Austin and the two started dating.

After a year of dating, Austin proposed to Whitney in August 2016 during a romantic getaway.

The couple were married in an elaborate ceremony on December 9, 2017.

The wedding was held in North Carolina at Childress Vineyards, which is owned by Austin's grandfather.

Whitney chronicled the events of the night on Instagram. The pictures showcased the couple's vows, their first dance, and the cutting of the cake.

Lots of family, friends, and other NASCAR drivers were on hand to help celebrate Austin and Whitney's wedding.

As a NASCAR wife, Whitney attends every race with her husband.

She is seen standing with him on pit road for the opening ceremonies, and if Austin scores a win, she's one of the first to victory lane.

When Austin won the prestigious Daytona 500, Whitney was overjoyed to celebrate this milestone with her husband.

Aside from being at the track, Whitney gave fans a glimpse into her home life when she joined the cast of the CMT series Racing Wives. On the show, viewers got a chance to see Austin and Whitney's relationship away from the track along with Whitney dealing with drama from the other wives.

With the announcement that they're expecting, Austin and Whitney are going to have a lot of preparations to do for their bundle of joy.

The couple will have a lot of support from Austin's brother Ty, who has a daughter with his wife Haley.

Austin and Whitney adore their niece and they'll have plenty of practice as they prep for their own son or daughter.

Even though it's going to be difficult preparing for a baby with Austin's racing schedule, he and Whitney are overjoyed about their upcoming arrival.
