Juice WRLD, a rising hip-hop star, is dead after suffering a seizure just days after his 21st birthday. The "Lucid Dreams" rapper reportedly suffered a seizure after landing at Chicago's Midway Airport after an early morning flight from Los Angeles. Chicago PD confirms that a 21-year-old male did suffer a seizure and later died at a nearby hospital.

Anthony Guglielmi, Chicago PD spokesperson, told the media "There are no initial signs of foul play and we are awaiting results from the medical examiner on the cause and manner of death.”

The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed they have the body of Juice, real name Jarad Anthony Higgins. An autopsy has not yet performed, and no cause of death has been determined. The rapper's death comes less than a week after he turned 21.

With everyone waking up to the devastating news regarding Juice WRLD's death, other celebrities are taking to social media to react and express their grief.

Rich the Kid wrote, "Noooo way not juice wrld somebody say this not real."

DJ Zedd tweeted, "really shocked and sad to find out juice wrld passed away, ... and so young too...

a reminder that life can be over any moment...

be kind to one another."

Rapper Action Bronson shared a message with fans too, "Terrible news about the young man Juice Wrld. We share December 2nd as our arrival day. Gone way too soon. Life is precious."

Travis Scott also heard about the terrible news and wrote, "Reast easy Juice Wrld," along with a broken heart.

Juice WRLD just celebrated his 21st birthday on December 2 and posted that he was ready to party.

Yesterday was my actual bday im celebrating all week doe??‍♂️999 s--t," he captioned a photo of himself.

It has since racked up over 2.6 million likes and now contains tributes to the late star from his friends and family.

"Rest easy brother, you changed the world and so many people individually?? this life is crazy man," Supreme Patty wrote.

Rapper, Clever, shared his grief too: "My brother sang songs about legends. about artist that don’t make it past 21. Turned 21 a week ago. a legend just fell in the making ? this hurts deep. i love you bro."

Juice WRLD was born December 2, 1998 in Chicago and rose to fame for his tracks on SoundCloud. His hit singles, "All Girls Are the Same" and "Lucid Dreams" eventually led to a record contract with Interscope Records.

In 2018 Juice dropped his first studio single, "Goodbye & Good Riddance," which peaked at #6 on the Billboard 200. It was also certified Platinum.

The young star was also open about his battle with addiction, specifically to promethazine/cough syrup, more commonly known as lean.

In an old interview with Hot 97, Juice talked about decisions he has made regarding substances:

"I’ve just kind of realized certain things about myself and my coming up, the way that substances played a part in my life, whether it was me doing them or other people. It’s something that I’m trying to separate myself from."
