Stefani, 52, posted on her Instagram a wedding montage of the two lovebirds set to Elvis Presley's "I Can't Help Falling in Love" and captioned it, "1 year down, forever to go @blakeshelton." Shelton responded in the comments, "I love you! Thank you for saying yes!!!!"
Their Journey to the Alter
The two met and fell in love on the set of "The Voice" after they both dealt with heartbreak and went through divorces. They began dating in 2015 and walking red carpets as a pair in 2016. Shelton popped the question in October 2022 at his Tishomingo, Oklahoma ranch with a six-to-nine carat round solitaire diamond ring. The two singers have since collaborated on songs including "Nobody but You," "You Make Me Feel Like Christmas," and "Happy Anywhere." Shelton has been open about his excitement to become a stepfather to Stefani's three boys - Kingston James McGregor, 16, Zuma Nesta Rock, 13, and Apollo Bowie Flynn, 8.
Their Big Day One Year Ago
Stefani wore a Vera Wang gown with sweetheart plunging neckline on her wedding day, featuring a white bodice, miniskirt with tulle overlay, cut away back, and a full veil. Her veil featured a tribute to her husband and kids with hand-embroidered names - Blake, Gwen, Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo. She finished her wedding day look with white boots with her gown to match their country-style wedding, and of course, her trademark red lipstick. Shelton wore a tailored suit and white bowtie for the big occasion. The two were married at the country singer's Oklahoma ranch.
Keeping It Simple and Intimate
The couple said "I do" in an intimate wedding ceremony with only their family and closest friends in attendance. Their longtime friend Carson Daly officiated their wedding in a backyard chapel on the ranch. An unnamed source told People, "They purposely kept the wedding simple. They didn't want a circus. In the end, they just wanted to have this moment with their loved ones." With so many great memories being made at the ranch, the two thought it would be the perfect place to start their new chapter. The wedding reception was also held at the ranch and included a five-tier wedding cake with white frosting and a traditional bride and groom cake topper. The source added, "They already felt like husband and wife long before the wedding and have been operating as life partners. This day was a formality that was important to the whole family."
