Pink shocked fans when she revealed she shaved her hair and showcased the results in an emotional social media post. The “Hurts 2B Human” singer shared a photo of her newly-buzzed haircut on Thursday which showed her crouching on a wooden floor with her long locks laying loosely in her hands. “Letting Go,” she captioned the snap. She also showed a picture of her former hair lying all over the floor while tagging her hair stylist. Fans are going crazy over Pink’s new look, but several of her fellow buzzed celebrity friends are applauding her for the transformation too!
“Cruel Intentions” star Selma Blair, who went bald after MS treatment, commented on Pink’s post and called them “Twins!!!!” while adding a black heart emoji. Kate Hudson, who flaunted a similar cut not long ago, responded by stating the action is “the most liberating!” “Damn girl. I know that feels good,” added celebrity fitness coach Jeanette Jenkins. Pink’s husband, former BMX rider Carey Hart, got in on the action too and complimented his wife on her beautiful transformation. “Love it!!!!!!!!!” he replied on the photo. Many fans were touched by the singer’s bold look and shared their personal stories about shaving their heads.
“You are a badass. I had to have my head buzzed when I was diagnosed with breast cancer and I loved how liberating it was,” wrote one fan. “You are truly an inspiration for so many in people in so many ways! I’ve always looked to you for being real & honest with the world. My teenage years thank you. I thank you!” said another. “Having a shaved head is so liberating. I’ve been rockin one for many years now…. you will always look stunning,” someone else added.
Pink’s dramatic new look comes after the singer revealed that she’s planning to take a step away from the spotlight and put a pause on new music in order to spend more time with her children with Carey Hart — 8-year-old daughter Willow and 3-year-old son Jameson. After pouring her heart out in her “Hurts 2B Human” album this year, she told Entertainment Tonight that 2020 is going to be all about her family. “We did two and a half years of [music] and Willow’s back in school now,” Pink told the outlet. “Jameson’s going to start pre-school soon. It’s kind of the year of the family. And Carey has a lot going on as well. He’s super supportive, he follows me around the world and now it’s his turn.”
Pink has talked about the exhausting toll her Beautiful Trauma tour took on her body and emotions. As The Blast reported, she was hospitalized after experiencing “excruciating pain” during her world tour. “There have been many times when I have been sitting in the corner of arena bathrooms crying and saying to myself, ‘There’s a reason why women don’t do this, there’s a reason why moms don’t do this,’ because it’s (expletive) impossible at times,” she told Billboard. “The last couple of months, Willow was over it. She wants to be home and do BMX and swim team and gymnastics and all the (expletive) that an 8-year-old wants to do,” she added. “So she was asking to go home, and that’s when I knew: From here on out, it changes.”
