Khloe Kardashian Was 'Blindsided' By Caitlyn Jenner's Claim That They Haven't Talked In Years

During her time as a contestant on I'm A Celebrity..., Caitlyn Jenner opened about the difficulties that she has faced since coming out as trans in 2015. While talking to her fellow contestants, she explained that she hadn't talked to her daughter Khloe for 5 or 6 years.

"I went through every kid, and Khloe for some reason was pissed off about something through this whole process. It’s been five or six years and I really haven’t talked to her since. We were really close, I raised her since she was five years old, I really don’t know what her issues are."

However since that personal revelation broke, Khloe Kardashian has a very different interpretation of events. A source close to Khloe filled in TMZ, explaining that she feels "blindsided."

"Khloe is genuinely confused by Caitlyn's recent claim they haven't talked in "five, six years" and their current relationship is sour. We're told Khloe refutes that notion on several fronts -- starting with the numbers."

The source continued, pointing out that Caitlyn came out on 2015, and the that the Kardashians only knew a little before that, so her proposed timeline of 5 or 6 years doesn't add up.

"Khloe was completely supportive of Caitlyn's transition at the time, and things only got bitter between them when Caitlyn took shots at Kris in her memoir -- something we're told none of the Kardashian sisters appreciated.

Khloe was also there for Caitlyn when she accepted her ESPY award and the two have been nothing but pleasant at family holiday parties and birthdays."

Khloe also claimed that she only missed Caitlyn's last birthday because she was working and that she sent a massive rose arrangement as a gift.

Caitlyn has spoken of her strained relationships with her family in the past, telling Piers Morgan in 2017:

"I’ve lost all relationship with them, yes I don’t talk to any of them anymore. Actually it was Kendall’s birthday party a couple of days ago and I went to the party and I hadn’t talked to any of the kids on that side. [I haven’t talked to] Kris [in] probably a year, Kim probably nine months, Khloe two years — but she wasn’t there — and Kourtney I haven’t talked to her either."
