Actress Elizabeth Olsen wants to return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Although she still hasn’t seen the “Doctor Strange” sequel, titled, “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” Olsen revealed that she still wants to reprise her role as Wanda Maximoff AKA the Scarlet Witch.
Elizabeth Olsen Says Scarlet Witch ‘Should Come Back’ To The Marvel Cinematic Universe
On Wednesday night, the “WandaVision” star appeared on “The Tonight Show” and told host Jimmy Fallon that she wants to return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Olsen last reprised her role in the “Doctor Strange” sequel, although many fans are questioning her fate.
“They don’t tell me anything,” Olsen revealed. “I should come back, but I really don’t know.”
“I want fans to be, like, so aggressive, you know? Like, terrify them into doing it,” she joked. “Or maybe that’s not a good way to do anything, actually. I really take that back. No one needs to use force.”
However, she also revealed that she hasn’t actually watched the “Doctor Strange” sequel either.
Elizabeth Olsen Has NOT Watched ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’
Olsen shocked fans when she revealed that she hasn’t watched the “Doctor Strange” sequel, although she has a very good reason for not doing so. Olsen explained that she's “not one of those” actors that don't watch their movies.
Instead, she described herself as “one of those people who likes to study something so I can figure out how to make it better.”
“But I had a cold when we had the premiere and I didn’t want to sit through it,” she continued. “And so I asked them to send a copy so I could watch it, and it had my name on it and it had the time that I was watching it, and I didn’t want to watch it like that.”
“My name was on it and the exact time and date,” Olsen added. “It’s just distracting.”
When Jimmy Fallon pointed out that Marvel puts watermarks on their movies to prevent them from being sold illegally, Olsen didn’t seem to understand how that was possible.
“How do you even do that?” she asked. “Who do you even send it to? How do you even record it on a computer?”
Although she doesn’t know what happens in her MCU future, Variety reported that she would love to be a part of the “WandaVision” spin-off series, focused on Kathryn Hahn’s character of Agatha Harkness. There are also rumors that there is a standalone Scarlet Witch move in the work at Disney.
“I would love to be a part of both of those,” Olsen recently told “The View.” “No one tells me anything, and I’m not even hiding a secret, because I’m bad at that. I know nothing about my future.”
She encouraged her fans to “Keep spreading rumors and maybe they’ll hire me again.”
Elizabeth Olsen May Not Need Marvel… She Has A Book To Promote
As the Los Angeles Times reported, Olsen has been busy promoting her new children’s book, “Hattie Harmony: Worry Detective,” which was released on Tuesday. She and her husband Robbie Arnett wrote a story about overcoming childhood anxiety.
Earlier this week, Olsen sat down with SiriusXM radio host Jess Cagle, to discuss the book and her secret wedding. Though fans still don’t have the full picture of what went on, Olsen revealed that she and Arnett eloped and then got married “at another time.”
“It was before COVID,” she added, referring to the 2020 pandemic lockdown. “I just never talked about it.”
Olsen explained that she was filming in England at the time and “there were visa issues with that.” However, she said they “timed things out accidentally really well.”
“He wouldn’t have been able to come [to England] at all,” Olsen explained. “And also, everything was so backed up. You couldn’t even try to get married then. But it ended up working out.”
Fans hope that Olsen’s future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe will work out as well!
