Ex 'AGT' Judge Howard Stern Rips Simon Cowell Over Gabrielle Union Drama

Howard Stern is sounding off about the drama going on over at "America's Got Talent," and asking an interesting question -- why does Simon Cowell keep replacing the female judges? The King of All Media, who was a judge on the talent competition for four years, pointed out that while Cowell and Howie Mandel remain as fixtures at the judge's table, the show seems to have a revolving door when it comes to female judges.

"How is it that Simon Cowell has orchestrated this, Stern said Monday morning on his SiriusXM radio show, "The Howard Stern Show."

"He sets it up that the men stay, no matter how ugly they are, no matter how old they are, no matter how fat they are, no matter how talentless they are."

Stern said he does like Howie Mandel, but that it's completely "obvious" the show keeps switching out female judges for "hotter chicks and younger chicks."

Stern appeared alongside Heidi Klum and Mel B on his seasons of "AGT," and commented that he was surprised when the German supermodel was let go from the show.

"Heidi Klum is no rocket scientist, she's not the greatest judge, but she's certainly attractive and has an opinion. On what grounds did they dismiss her? Simon, Howie get to stay but the three women have to leave and they find two hotter women?!"

The radio legend also commented on Mel B, and thought she was the perfect fit for a judge on "AGT."

"Mel B was really good! Mel B had great opinions, she was in a hit group, she beat the odds in show business and made it to the top. She's the embodiment of "America's Got Talent," a semi-talented person who got all the way to the top."

As we reported, Mel B was also surprised when she was let go from "AGT," and says the financial hit was such a blow she had to return home to the UK in search of steady work.

Stern brought up Gabrielle Union's alleged gripes with "AGT," and admitted that some of her complaints "didn't make a lot of sense," but said the situation was interesting. He theorized that Julianne Hough is keeping quiet because of her other specials in the works with NBC, but thought it all boiled down to Simon Cowell switching out the women on "AGT" as he sees fit.

"Let that big titted fat fuck Simon Cowell go? why is he still there, he's so great?!" Stern argued.

While Simon Cowell hasn't personally said anything about the situation with Gabrielle Union, the British producer's company released a joint-statement with NBC on Sunday after a holiday weekend full of speculation.

"We remain committed to ensuring a respectful workplace for all employees and take very seriously any questions about workplace culture."

The statement also claimed, "We are working with Ms. Union through her representatives to hear more about her concerns, following which we will take whatever next steps may be appropriate."

Union appeared to throw some major shade at Simon and the statement from his company with a tweet suggesting how they should be handling the situation. As of Monday, SAG-AFTRA has now announced they will be investigating the situation.

"We take issues of workplace health and safety very seriously. We immediately reached out to Ms. Union’s representatives when these reports came to light. It is our practice to work closely with members who reach out to us and their representatives in instances like this, as that usually affords the best protection and best resolution for the affected member," a statement from the organization read.
