We may be heading toward a new decade, but an awkward error at Vogue seems to suggest we’re not ready for the new era.
Taylor Swift is the featured artist on Vogue‘s “New Decade, New Style” edition for January 2020. She looks great – a combination of mod style with a twist of sultry adventure.
However, the cover that Swift posted on her Instagram states the issue is for January 2019, not January 2020. Oops.
Swift wrote a thank-you to staff on her post:
“HEY @britishvogue!! It’s always a dreamscape of creativity and hilarity working with Edward – but putting him together with Pat = the funniest wildest shoot I’ve ever been on ? Love this team, so grateful for everyone involved.”
After Swifties pointed out the error, it was fixed, but Swift’s post on her Instagram is still there.
“stunning cover. Did Vogue find a time machine though? ‘JAN 2019.’” wrote @BAHjournalist.
“The Vogue cover says ‘January 2019,’ so that means that we are going in circles,” said @anajessy.

Her interview with the magazine covers her role in the new movie Cats, in which she and other female feline characters have human boobs, writer Nate Jones at “Vulture” pointed out. It’s unclear why.
You can get a copy of the January 2020 Vogue, with the corrected date, beginning Dec. 6.
