Demi Lovato Unveils The Second Single From Their Upcoming Eighth Album
On Wednesday, June 29 Lovato continued their upcoming album rollout by dropping details about their second single on Instagram, including a surprising snippet of the song.
"SUBSTANCE July 15th.🩸Pre-Save Now," the "Camp Rock" star simply captioned the post, which consisted of two slides with the eye-catching cover art for the track on one plane and a video on the second part.
The image featured an abstract photo of the "Heart Attack" singer in an all-black ensemble seated at the base of what appeared to be a large circular object covered in black smudges.
The end of the Albuquerque native's outfit trailed behind them to form a black sludge-like image that coiled around a part of the circular object, giving an overall picture of a dark and powerful wave.
In the second slide, Lovato kept the dark theme going by rocking a black shirt paired with matching black nail polish while their black hair was styled into a messy bun with bangs.
The People's Choice Award winner radiated with joy as they lip-synced and danced to their latest single, which followed the theme of their upcoming album with punk-rock beats.
In the clip, the 29-year-old sang, "I know we're all f------ exhausted. Am I in my head or have we all lost it? So I ask myself, 'Am I the only one looking for substance?' "

This intriguing new song came weeks after the "Cool for the Summer" songstress released their album's first single "Skin of My Teeth" on Friday, June 10.
As shared by The Blast, the "Sonny With A Chance" actress revealed on "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon" that working on "Holy Fvck" showcased their strength in overcoming substance addiction.
After nearly dying from a drug overdose in 2018, Lovato had undergone rehabilitation to curb their bad habits and even tried being California sober to control their desires, occasionally smoking and drinking without the use of hard drugs.
However, the 29-year-old soon realized that they could not live this way and successfully became 100% sober to create their eighth studio album. Looking back at this inspiring moment, Lovato said:
"The best way to do that and the easiest way to do something the most authentic is to do it clean and sober. I made this album clean and sober."
The "Stone Cold" songstress confessed that they felt proud for creating "Holy Fvck" while being sober as they could not make the same declaration about their 2021 album, "Dancing With The Devil.
Finally overcoming their substance addiction was not the only good news as the MTV Video Music Award winner gave themselves an early birthday present by scheduling their album's release on August 19th, a day before their 30th birthday.
The "Princess Protection Program" Star Revealed A New Spider Tattoo
After turning their body into a beautiful canvas, Lovato has debuted several stunning tattoos and recently added new art to their collection.
As reported by The Blast, the "Charming" voice actress unveiled a new shoulder tattoo on their Instagram Story, featuring a large spiderweb and a black spider dangling from a web string.
The spiderweb draped the "Give Your Heart a Break" singer's shoulder while the spider dangled further down the 29-year-old's arm.
"The Demi Lovato Show" star was done by the Los Angeles-based celebrity tattoo artist Doctor Woo, who the entertainer gave a special shout-out in the post's caption alongside the words, "a spider you can see now!"
This comment referenced the spider tattoo the Albuquerque native previously revealed on their Instagram Story. Unlike their latest artwork, the first spider was drawn in an obscure location — on the shaved part of Lovato's head.
Also, a work by the talented Doctor Woo, the "Barney & Friends" alum debuted the large eerie creature with a poem expressing their love for spiders.
