Operation Varsity Blues, the massive college admissions scandal that featured dozens of wealthy parents scamming their children into top universities, has been one of the major news stories of 2019, and actress Lori Loughlin has been at the center of the whole trial.

Loughlin and her husband, fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, paid $500,000 to have her daughters Isabella and Olivia Jade admitted to USC, and also falsified records that the girls rowed crew in order to get them on the university team. Neither girls had ever participated in the sport.

Loughlin's younger daughter, Olivia Jade, is a YouTube influencer and has been laying low since the scandal broke, retreating from social media and not recording new videos since March. Olivia Jade was dropped by a host of sponsors following the scandal, including HP, Sephora, Lulus, Amazon, Dolce & Gabbana, Marc Jacobs Beauty, Smashbox Beauty Cosmetics, Smile Direct Club, Too Faced Cosmetics, Boohoo, and Unilever’s TRESemmé.

Sephora released a statement at the time, saying:

"After careful review of recent developments, we have made the decision to end the Sephora Collection partnership with Olivia Jade, effective immediately."

Lulus' co-founder and CEO Colleen Winter released a similar statement:

"Lulus has not worked with Olivia Jade since August 2018 and we have no plans to do so in the future."

However, Olivia Jade made her return to YouTube on Sunday, posting a new video titled "hi again." In the video, Olivia Jade acknowledges her absence and explains that she can't really comment on the admissions scandal at this time.

"Obviously, I've been gone for a really long time and as much as I wish I could talk about all this...it's really hard for me to say this just because I know that it's something that needs to be addressed. It's just, unfortunately...I'm legally not allowed to speak on anything going on right now."

Olivia Jade continued, explaining that she was nervous to return but clearly missed the attention.

"I genuinely miss filming...I feel like a huge part of me is just not the same because this is something that I'm really passionate about...I debated for seven or eight months, like, 'If I can't talk about it, is there a point in coming back?'

This is the best I can do and I want to move on with my life. It's so hard because I'm not trying to make this about me or how I've been because it's not the point of this. Although I'm terrified to make this video and come back, I know that I also want to start taking smaller steps in the right direction for people that have been DMing and asking me.

Moral of the story is I'm just really excited to start filming again and uploading, and I really hope you enjoy the vlogs. Thanks!"

Well, I can't imagine anyone saw this going any other way.
