Hollywood veteran Ron Perlman has gotten married for the second time. The seasoned actor recently walked down the aisle in a private ceremony with his long-term girlfriend Allison Dunbar while they vacationed in Matera, Italy.

The two met while working on the tv show "Startup" in 2018 and grew an instant connection that led to frequent dates and outings. However, the relationship could not get in the swing of things, given that Perlman was still finalizing his divorce from his ex-wife Opal Stone.

With that obstacle out of the way, the "Sons of Anarchy" star and the "Film Fest" actress decided to make things official, starting a new marital life that also marks Dunbar's second attempt at marriage.

'Pulling A Kravis Before It Was A Thing'

Perlman, 72, and Dunbar, 49, had been married for months, but fans just learned about it when Dunbar uploaded a video of herself and her partner making things official earlier this month.

The 49-year-old "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" actress wore a veil atop her long, blonde tresses as she danced with Perlman, who wore a black suit, blue shirt, and a gold tie for the event. "Pulling a Kravis before it was a thing," she captioned the clip on Instagram, alluding to the earlier wedding ceremony of Kourtney Kardashian and Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker.

The actress also tagged everyone who helped make the ceremony a success. "Thank you, Cydney and Dallas @stone_cold_fox, for hunting down my dream. @palazzomargherita @bernaldafunpage bomb tan by @oatstanning..."

Ron Perlman & Allison Dunbar Were Desperate To Get Married

The celebration was held at Francis Ford Coppola's Palazzo Margherita in Southern Italy, according to The Sun. The pair could not secure a marriage license for the occasion at the time. They did, however, get one when they returned to California, officially making them husband and wife in the eyes of the law.

"They vacationed in Matera and were still desperate to get married, but they, unfortunately, didn't have enough time to get the correct paperwork done," a source told the publication. "It didn't stop them from having their romantic ceremony in nearby Bernalda, and it was the perfect day.

The insider further revealed that the couple had planned "to get married officially in Italy, but Allison booked a movie, and it screwed their timeline." So, upon the opportunity to have their holiday at the location, they decided there was no need to wait any longer and got wedded despite the absence of friends and family.

'A Hard Road'

For friends and family who were absent from the wedding, the source revealed that the couple is planning another wedding celebration in New York next year as they did not feel comfortable organizing a large ceremony during the ongoing rise in Covid-19 cases in the last quarter.

Perlman and Dunbar had to keep their relationship unofficial while dating, owing to Perlman's unresolved divorce from his ex-wife. This was no easy task because it felt terrible not to be entirely upfront about their connection.

"It's been a hard road for Ron and Allison. They were great friends before becoming romantic… Sometimes people make decisions in their marriage, but it's not official for a long time," an insider previously stated. "It was painful for everyone as nobody knew the truth."

Meanwhile, another source informed the publication that the pair has been "really enjoying married life," with Ron donning his ring for "a few months now."

Perlman was earlier married to jewelry and fashion designer Stone for 38 years. The pair separated in May 2019, before the "Hell Boy" actor filed for divorce in November of the same year, citing irreconcilable differences.

According to court records obtained by Us Weekly, Perlman agreed to pay his ex-wife $12,500 every month until she remarries or dies. He would also give her 20% of the total income he makes in a year over $624,000, with a limit of $1.5 million. Perlman was also instructed to pay 40% of Stone's legal expenses incurred during the drawn-out divorce proceedings.

Aside from that, the couple will sell their NYC flat and divide the money, while Stone will keep their L.A. house. The former marriage has two adult children, Blake, 38, and Delroy, 32.
