With 30 just around the corner, Disney alum Selena Gomez has a few thoughts about entering a new decade. The actress is currently in a popular television series, "Only Murders in the Building," with other famous faces like Steve Martin, Matthew Short, Cara Delevingne, Amy Schumer, and several others.

The show centers around three amateur investigators whose only experience in the profession is their love for true crime stories. The trio, who lives in the same apartment building, band up to solve a crime that occurred in the building.

While talking to a news outlet, Gomez shed some light on her time working on this series and opened up on how she felt about turning 30. The artist revealed that while she enjoyed getting older, it still felt a bit weird for her.

Ahead of her fast-approaching 30th birthday, Gomez revealed that getting into a new decade felt "weird." The actress was about recently with her appearance at Brittany Spears' wedding to Sam Asghari this month and getting ready to release the second season of "Only Murders in the Building."

While talking to Extra's Katie Krause, the Disney alum spoke about her time at the pop star's wedding, describing it as "wonderful." While talking, the actress was joined by two of her "Only Murders in the Building" co-stars, Steve Martin and Martin Short. Short jokingly revealed he wasn't invited to Spears' wedding.

During the interaction, Krause asked Gomez about her 30th birthday and how the artist planned to celebrate it. She asked, "What are you looking forward to most in the next decade of life, and how do you plan to celebrate?"

The 29-year-old admitted that while she thought turning 30 felt weird, she enjoyed getting older. "I have no idea what to expect," she said. "Getting older is weird, but I love it. And I'm finding out new things about myself. It's honestly… I enjoy getting older. Here's to 30."

Further on, the interviewer asked Gomez, Martin, and Short some questions about their work and requested to know a past project they would remake or reboot if they had the chance. Five-time Grammy winner Martin revealed that he was particularly interested in "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels."

"I really had fun shooting 'Dirty Rotten Scoundrels' with Michael Caine and Glenne Headly," the veteran actor said. "But I couldn't do better. It would just be fun to visit all the people in the South of France."

Gomez, on her part, said she would "love" to go back to her time on "Wizards of Waverly Places." The actress said, "Mine is 'Wizards' hands down; I would love that." Short also chimed in, mentioning "Three Amigos" and his penchant for joining trio groups, case in point: his role in "Only Murders in the Building."

She Hasn't Gotten An Emmy Nomination...Yet

Gomez and Martin also shed some light on their time working on "Only Murders in the Building" and described the moment as "a dream." The artist said, "I'm so astonished and really grateful, so happy."

Due to its popularity, the series is getting news of awards or at least a nomination, so Krause asked the stars how they felt about an Emmy nomination. She asked, "What would an Emmy nomination mean to you guys?"

"I don't know," Gomez replied. "I've never been nominated for those kinds of awards." "I won an Emmy in 1968 for writing on 'The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour,'" Martin said. "It was a posthumous award because the show was canceled."

When asked if he thought it was finally time to add another Emmy to his collection, the actor quipped that it was a good thing to get the award "every 50 years." "Only Murders in the Building" season two is available on Hulu.

'Only Murders In The Building' Is Streaming On Hulu

The popular Hulu series "Only Murders in the Building" revolves around three strangers who are obsessed with true crime stories and end up finding themselves in one after a death occurs in their apartment building.

The series' first season was released in August 2021 and was well received. Season two is currently streaming on Hulu and promises to be even bigger, with several popular stars among the cast like Cara Delevingne and Amy Schumer.

John Hoffman and Steve Martin created "Only Murders in the Building." The three strangers are the series' lead characters and are played by Gomez, Martin, and Short.

The second season of the comedy series is currently seating at a 100% critic approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, making it the highest rated show of all time.
