Anna Duggar Gives Birth Before Thanksgiving! Meet Maryella Hope Duggar

The Duggar family continues "Counting On" with another addition just in time for the holidays. Anna Duggar announced that the newest bundle of joy arrived Wednesday morning, and marks her sixth child with husband Josh Duggar. Taking to Instagram, Anna announced that Maryella Hope Duggar was born at 9:12 AM, weighing 8lbs 2oz and measuring 20 1/2 inches.
"Maryella Hope arrived one day ahead of Thanksgiving Day 2019 and a great reminder to be grateful for all God has done for us! We are so excited and thankful to God for His special blessing giving us this precious, happy & healthy baby girl!"
Some of Josh and Anna's family members immediately jumped into the comments of her Instagram post to shower the newest Duggar with love.
Josiah and Lauren Duggar, who recently welcomed newborn daughter Bella, wrote, "She is so adorable!"
Jill Dillard Duggar wrote, "Yay! Congrats!!"
Fans also dropped some praise, telling Josh and Anna, "Beautiful name, grandma Mary would be proud."
One fan commented, "Such a beauty for a beautiful family. Love her name and congratulations ?. Bless you all and happy early thanksgiving."
Even though Josh and Anna already had five children, they are clearly trying to catch up to the OG Duggars and could not have been more excited when number six was on the way. Back in April, they spoke to US Weekly shortly after learning Anna was pregnant.
"We couldn’t be happier to share with the world that our family is growing by one this Fall. We continually stand amazed by God’s love, redemption, grace and blessings in our lives. Our entire little family is ecstatic!”
Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar were also ecstatic, and released a statement to US Weekly on the expected baby:
"We are so happy for Josh & Anna, expecting their 6th child and our 16th grandchild! Each child is a blessing from God! Anna is one of the most amazing women in the world, she is a Proverbs 31 woman! Anna & Josh are good parents and it is going to be neat to see what God does with each one of their children’s lives. Mackynzie, Michael, Marcus, Meredith and Mason are so excited to have a little sibling on the way! God is at work in their sweet little family! He has blessed them with another child! What a gift! The best days for their family are still ahead!"
Along with the new baby, Josh and Anna had another joyous occasion with their 11th wedding anniversary. Back in September, they celebrated and Anna penned a sweet message to her husband about all they've been through over the years.
"11 years ago, before God, our family and friends we said, “I do!” — and my how the past 11 years have flown by! ♥️ The joys we’ve experienced together have far surpassed the shadows of sorrow we’ve walked through. Through it all, God’s kindness and grace has sustained us. I am thankful for the 7 children He has given us together (5 here/1 in heaven/1 due in Nov)! ? I love you so much Joshua and look forward to growing old together! (Gotta admit though...being young together is pretty fun too!)"
