Anna Kendrick & Bill Hader Call It Quits After Only One Year Together!

Anna Kendrick & Bill Hader's one-year romance has sadly come to an end!

Fans may know that the former couple was reported to have dated a few years after Hader divorced his wife of more than a decade and the mother of his three kids, Maggie Carey.

In a recent report by ET, Kendrick and Hader's breakup was confirmed; however, the ex-couple are yet to shed more light on their reported split.

An informant revealed to the outlet that the celebs had "broken up," and the information comes two months after the filmmaker quickly shut down inquiries about the "High Society" star featuring on his smashing HBO series "Barry."

At the time, Hader insisted that his then-girlfriend would not be on the show, and in that same month, he named his kids as his reason for being tight-lipped about his relationship.

It is worth knowing that he and his ex-wife, director Carey share 7-year-old Hayley, 10-year-old Harper, and 12-year-old Hannah.

The eight-time Emmy Award nominee once revealed about his little girls, "They just want me to be their dad. They just want me to sit and watch 'Encanto' over and over and over again. So that's what I do."

Months before he and Kendrick split up, an insider mentioned in March that the twosome was "in love and happy in their relationship, and enjoying their time together."

Another source revealed in January that the pair had been "dating for a while;" however it is uncertain when they officially began dating despite starring together in the 2019 Disney movie "Noelle."

Even so, in the same January, Vanity Fair declared that Hader and Kendrick had been "quietly" dating for over a year.

This marks the second time this month that one of the 44-year-old screenwriter's split has made headlines as his past affair with actress Rachel Bilson was brought to light not long ago.

In an early-June episode of Bilson's Broad Ideas" podcast, she addressed her past relationship with the Tulsa-born "SNL" alum, confirming to Aubrey Plaza that both of them had dated two years ago.

Earlier this month, the actress also hinted at a recent "really hard breakup" she experienced during the pandemic.

She did not mention Harder by name but stated that it was "probably the hardest thing I've ever done," even "harder than childbirth."

It should be noted that the "Barry" producer and Bilson broke up in July 2020, six months after debuting as a couple at the 2020 Golden Globes.

Around the time Vanity Fair confirmed Hader and Kendrick's relationship, The Blast also revealed the same, noting that they met years ago and bonded well after starring in a movie together.

A source also mentioned at the time, "They are both very private people, and with the pandemic, it was easy to keep it quiet. They're both hysterical, so they must keep each other laughing all of the time. She's really, really happy."

Fans were surprised yet happy about the entertainers' romance as they took to social media to voice their thoughts, with some rooting for the couple and others being critics.

In April, The Blast detailed the reason behind Kendrick and Hader's private relationship, revealing that the "Trainwreck" actor was concerned about his daughters' privacy.

He explained that he did not want his kids to gain so much media attention if he could prevent it, hence his decision to avoid talking about his past or present relationships and romantic life.

Speaking of his past relationships, he and his kids' mother, Carey, were married in 2006 and first called it quits in November 2017, eventually filing for divorce a month later.

Their divorce was concluded in June 2018, and they both still maintain a friendly relationship, co-parenting their three girls.

The Peabody Award winner and his ex-wife "do their best" to always prioritize their kids, leading Hader to voice their worries about the pandemic's effect on the children.

He stated at the time, "Maggie and I were just trying to keep them calm. And then, weirdly, it was the other way around. They would really keep us calm."
