The Stars Give Miss Diddy Her Flowers
So many A-listers appeared on the red carpet for this prestigious event and shared beautiful sentiments about the entrepreneur.
“It’s a homecoming — this is what we do,” said former 106 & Park host AJ Calloway.
“It’s expected to have Black excellence. We expect nothing less and what Miss Diddy is doing is amazing. To be a part of it during [BET] weekend — which I helped birthed is amazing.”
Lil Rel Howery shares the most exciting thing about a Miss Diddy function —seeing Miss Diddy.
“She’s always super fly as busy as she is,” he shared.
“Diddy is always focused on celebrating us and one day, we’re going to have to celebrate her. She’s done a ton of these events and it’s been so dope. She’s so sincere about it and whenever she calls me to attend anything of hers — I can feel the love in the room. If I could celebrate her, I would either throw her an award show or send her on vacation. Matter of fact, the vacation should be a surprise [laughs]. A fun group trip and maybe a dinner to celebrate.
Howery also talks about his upcoming projects and the project he’s most excited about while trying to carve out time for rest.
“In the summertime, I try to take a rest,” he expressed.
“I usually have my children during the summer but the cool thing is I can bring them on set with me while I’m working — I try but it’s hard because I get some really great scripts. Now I don’t say yes to everything but they send some really good stuff my way. Right now, I’m on a Disney Junior show called Eureka and it’s been a surreal moment as my son is also on the project voicing two characters. It’s surreal to hear my Black voice on a Disney Junior show and to be a Black dad on a cartoon — it’s great. They even hear our dictation and how we speak so they can be comfortable hearing us talk and be around us.”
Cynthia Bailey Shares If She’ll Make A Return To Housewives Soon
Bailey stepped out looking fabulous as ever with her husband Mike Hill and chatted with The Blast about being a Black brand in a room full of other Black brands.

“I’ve been doing this for a long time traveling from Alabama to New York City to pursue my modeling career to Atlanta starting my reality television career and now in Hollywood to begin my acting career. It’s an honor to be recognized for all of your hard work. I’m just doing the work — it feels great. ”
She also lets us know she would like to step out of the box in her acting career and play something different, like a serial killer or something — but of course, a glammed-up one.
She also talks about returning to Real Housewives Of Atlanta, which she shares she would never say never, but not at this time.
“I’m really enjoying this next chapter and I’m still on television with movies and I had a great time on Celebrity Big Brother. I haven’t gone anywhere, I’m just not on the Real Housewives right now, but you can watch Ultimate Girls Trip [laughs].

“I haven’t expressed myself in that way and I have the number one song on the gospel charts right now that I performed at the [Stellar Awards] with Rudy Currence so my next expression is jazz. I would love to work with Corey Henry, Robert Glasper, and all the best musicians of our era. All the Black men who play instruments that don’t get enough visual.”
