Shortly after the movie dropped, Miles Teller’s “Divergent” costar Shailene Woodley took to Instagram to praise Teller’s performance in “Top Gun: Maverick” and commented on his “oiled up abs.”
“if you haven’t had the chance yet, run, don’t walk, to your nearest cinema, sit you’re a– down, and watch the new Top Gun,” she wrote.

‘Top Gun: Maverick’ Is Cleaning Up At The Box Office
Earlier this week, Deadline reported that the Paramount and Skydance collaboration has crossed the $900 million dollar mark at the international box office in the first 25 days of its release.
At the time, the total global sum was $901.9M. The domestic box office accounted for $474.8M, with the international box office pulled in the remaining $427.1M dollars. However, with many more fans heading to theaters this weekend, it’s likely that the film could cross the one billion mark by Monday!
On Rotten Tomatoes, critics gave it a 97% score while audiences gave it a 99% rating, with many praising all elements of the film.
Pete Hammond of Deadline Hollywood Daily wrote, “Tops the original in every way imaginable, from an all-knowing performance for the ages from Cruise to its highly emotional storyline, ‘take my breath away’ aerial sequences and just about anything else you want from a studio blockbuster.”
