"Jersey Shore" star Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino and his wife, Lauren Sorrentino revealed their struggle to expand their family during a sit-down interview on ABC's "Strahan Sara and Keke" on Monday afternoon.

After years of struggling to conceive, Lauren expressed that she thought the pregnancy was a gift for enduring the recent hardships they faced as a couple.
"When I found out we were pregnant, I felt like this is why we went through all these challenges for years and that it was our time and it was our blessing. I rely on my faith to get me through everything in life—and especially the challenging things we’ve gone through. If I didn’t have my faith, I wouldn’t be here. So, it was hard. It was really difficult.”

The two reality stars expressed that their lives are pretty much an open book and after sharing so much with "Jersey Shore" fans and the world, they thought it was a good time to go public with their loss.
“I wanted to share it for other people going through it and, you know, just be honest so that I can kind of heal through the process.”
The audience and the hosts applauded her for "normalizing" a situation that many women are afraid to talk about publicly but Sara Haines made a point to say how moved she was by Lauren's revelation.
“The problem is so many women don’t hear about this. And when you realize it happens medically and it happens, but women usually suffer in isolation and blame themselves and they beat themselves up and they think, ‘What would be the reason for this?’ The more women talk about it and the more people, like you, are strong enough to normalize it, the more we’re a united front realizing it does happen. Sadly, it happens to so many people.”
Before the show aired, Lauren promoted her interview on her Instagram. She shared a glamorous boomerang that featured Mike and her hair and makeup team. She captioned her post, "Getting ready for GMA @strahansarakeke ?."
Snooki quickly commented on her post after she saw the interview.
"Love you mawma! You did so good , so proud of you and your strength ❤️❤️."
"Mob Wives" star Jennifer Graziano also supported the couple by writing, "Love it."
Many fans said that her interview touched their hearts and were proud of Lauren for talking about it.
One fan wrote, "So sorry for your loss I know exactly what you went through as I had nine of them myself over a course of 10 years. You’re young it will happen again for you guys soon with a wonderful ending!"

It is interesting and sad that on the day Mike was released after serving time in a federal penitentiary, Lauren released a statement that mentioned they planned on having kids immediately.
It is heartbreaking to hear that they concieved on the very same day she released this statement:
"We are elated to finally close this chapter of our life. Thank you to our family, friends and fans for the continuous love and support during this time, it brought us so much peace and comfort." They go on ... "We look forward to continuing our life as husband and wife and working on baby situations!"
