Surprise, We're Married!
Adrian Grenier may be most well-known for his party attitude on the hit show "Entourage," but he has settled down and is now a married man. The 45-year-old actor told People that it wasn't something they planned ahead, but the two went with the moment. "It wasn't planned. We embraced the serendipity of the moment and made the decision to tie the knot." Grenier and his longtime girlfriend Jordan Roemmele eloped in the Atlas Mountains while vacationing with friends in Morocco.
They Literally Tied the Knot
Being a spur of the moment decision, the couple didn't have rings for the occasion. They literally tied the knot using strings for rings. The two both wore all white, with Grenier wearing a Nehru-collar vest, dress shirt and matching pants, and Roemmele wearing a lace gown. She carried a bouquet of red roses and he had a small pink rose in his vest pocket. They were surrounded by their closest friends as they exchanged their vows "beside a sandy, mountainous terrain decorated with string lights."
Planning the Unplanned Nuptials
Grenier told People that his friends helped to make the pop-up wedding happen. "We were with a group of incredible friends, all of whom immediately rallied behind us and embraced the spontaneity of the moment. They put in so much love and effort to create a wedding from thin air." One of Grenier's closest friends, Australian singer RY X, used his cell phone to become ordained so he could officiate the wedding. Grenier expressed his gratitude for all his friends did to make this special moment happen with zero notice by saying, "We couldn't have planned a better wedding if we tried." He added that he and his new wife's "hearts are filled with love and gratitude and we are just enjoying this new chapter as newlyweds."
Quietly Together for Years
The two lovebirds have been romantically linked since 2017 but haven't been super vocal about it. They've done their best to keep their relationship on the quiet side. They relocated together to Austin, Texas last year. Grenier told City Lifestyle, "When I decided I wanted to settle in Texas, I knew I wanted a partner to live that experience with me, that's where Jordan comes in. We have a long history, and I said, 'I'm in love, and if you are too, I want to build something together.' Thankfully she was interested."
He Left the Hollywood Scene for Peace and Purpose
It's been a while since Grenier has been seen on the big screen or in a big TV role, and that was by choice. He hasn't taken a lead role in a major TV show since 2011 or starred in any blockbuster movies. He's now focused on building his farm in Texas. He permanently relocated to Austin in 2016, and has lived a more low-key lifestyle ever since. E News reported that he adopted his new approach to life after realizing he wasn't exactly practicing what he was preaching. "I have been doing environmental work for the last 20 years, I've started organizations and run non-profits, all designed to tell people to live more in line with nature—and yet, I wasn't living that way," he said in an interview. "In many ways, I reached the apex of that promise—if you work hard, you become famous, then you make a lot of money… but it was lackluster at the top."
