Katie Holmes' Boyfriend Bobby Wooten III Is Spending Time With Her Daughter Suri Cruise

After several years of being the object of public spectacle concerning her relationship fiascos, Katie Holmes has refrained from divulging personal information about her life to the public.

However, recently, the "Dawson's Creek" alum has become really comfortable showing off her romance with her new beau, Bobby Wooten III.

After making their relationship red carpet official, the couple has taken another huge and bold step in their relationship– the musician has begun to spend time with Holmes' daughter, Suri Cruise.

According to a new report from People, the musician is taking time to grow closer to people in Holmes' inner circle, including her daughter, whom she shares with her ex-husband Tom Cruise.

"He is getting to know her family," an inside source explains to People. "Katie is having a great time with Bobby," the source added. "He is very kind and happy. He makes her laugh."

This report indicates a major milestone in the duo's relationship following their public appearances.

A month ago, the pair were spotted at Moth Ball's 25th anniversary in NYC. They looked so cute and happy, and when it was time to take some pictures on the red carpet, they were positively beaming.

They also attended the "Alone Together" premiere during the Tribeca Film Festival and dazzled.

Getting to meet her daughter indicates that their relationship has gotten more serious. After all, Holmes and her daughter are fairly close, as evidenced by all the sweet tributes shared by Holmes on her social media.

According to pictures obtained exclusively by People, Holmes was spotted kissing the musician in New York City.

They also held hands and exchanged glances during their stroll. Wooten donned dark blue pants, a gray buttoned shirt, white sneakers, a blue jacket, and shades. On the other hand, Holmes donned casual white overalls paired with a white shirt and finished her fit with sunglasses and white sneakers.

Holmes' mom was also featured in one of the pictures. She was spotted hugging the musician as they took the subway and visited the Central park and Guggenheim museum.

"He's an amazing guy, very kind, super talented, and just an all-around cool guy," an insider shared with People about Wooten. "He's a highly accomplished bassist and musician and is as chill, brilliant, and funny as they come," the insider concluded. 

Wooten recently performed at Coachella with Carly Rae Jepsen. He has gotten a nomination for a Grammy award in the past. He also serves as an adjunct instructor at NYU Tisch School of the Arts and is from Chicago — a Midwest transplant like the actress who grew up in Toledo, Ohio.

In 2012, the duo announced they were getting divorced six years after marriage. This sent shock waves through Hollywood and speculations on why the couple decided to separate.

Per Extra, the pair started dating in early 2005. Holmes had divulged in June of that year that she was getting engaged and was converting to Scientology. Four months later, she announced that she was pregnant, and they tied the knot a few months later.

While they have remained tight-lipped over what caused them to split, there have been speculations that one of the major reasons for the split was the controversial religion of Scientology.

In fact, according to Instyle, the actress wanted to remove herself and her daughter Suri from the involvement or participation of the church of Scientology.

Cruise even confirmed this during a defamation case against Bauer Media; the actor was asked if the actress had split from him "in part" to protect her daughter from "the church of Scientology," to which he responded, saying, "Did she say that? That was one of the assertions, yes," via HuffPost.

He also revealed that his daughter, who was seven years old then, was no longer an active and practicing member of the church of Scientology.

This particular revelation surprised many, as many members who leave the church are deemed "suppressed" and eventually cut off by everyone, including their family members. This, however, seems not to be the case between Suri and her father.

In a 2017 interview with Town and Country, Holmes shared that she was very invested in her daughter's growth and that her upbringing is her number one priority.

"My child is the most important person to me, and her upbringing is paramount to my work right now," she admitted to the magazine. "I feel so blessed to do what I do, but there's nothing better than watching your child succeed."
