'Dog The Bounty Hunter' Chapman Sends A Message To Fans After 'Dog's Most Wanted' Memorial Episode

Beth Chapman passed away in June after a long battle with throat cancer, and she was dedicated to helping her husband Duane "Dog the Bounty Hunter" Chapman until the very end. She told the Star-Advertiser back in January:

"Even though the outlook is grim, I just don’t want to live it like that, you know? I don’t want to be that person who lets their children watch them die at their bedside. It’s just really out of my character. So for the last four days I have been chasing bad guys on the Big Island and I didn’t even notice that I was sick.”

The latest season of Dog's Most Wanted has been a tribute to that indomitable spirit, focusing on Beth's last days working alongside Dog. Beth was defiant until the end, saying "If I'm going to do die...I am going to die in my boots."

The final episode of Dog's Most Wanted was all about Beth, and her children have been reacting to seeing their mom onscreen for the last time. Beth's son Garry posted an emotional tribute to Beth.

"These past few years you have stressed to be strong now I know why you always told me to. You knew that one day soon I would need the strength to bear your loss. I just had to watch the goodbye episode for my mom. Sometimes it sucks living such a public life, but it has its moments; I’m able to look back on things like this. I love you Mom."

Dog hit Twitter to thank his fans, a.k.a. The Dog Pound, for their support in Beth's final days.

"THANK YOU #DOGPOUND FOR YOUR LOVE. ??#DOGSMOSTWANTED #THISONESFORBETH"

Fans responded with words of encouragement, thanking him for his honesty in the whole situation.

Dog has had difficulty moving on after Beth's death, and even admitted that he has struggled with suicidal thoughts since her passing.

""I don't realize yet psychologically that she's gone and I'll never ever see her. I don't realize that. I just hope I don't live very much longer without her, because now she made the first step, she's through the gate. She's paved the way for me.

I want to take a goddamn pain pill so bad. I feel like if I did something to myself right now, and passed away, suicidal, I'd go up to heaven and be like "Hi honey," and would go, 'you dumb—s why did you do that?' or would she go 'wow, you're here.'"
