Monica’s ex-husband Shannon Brown is being trashed for flirting with the singer on social media, only days after their divorce was finalized.
The NBA star took to Instagram to repost a series of sultry taken of Monica. He captioned the post, “What you say ?!?!?!?!”
Monica did not like the post or comment on her ex’s flirting. Many fans were quick to trash Brown for the being thirsty over his ex-wife.
One wrote, “She dont want you bruh” and “Ayooooooooooo chill babe ???.” Another commented, “She said she was shedding dead weight! #message”
A fan showed support, “Represent the mother of your child no matter what I love the support you two show each other.” Another comment read,” i guess it’s true what ppl say, u never know what u have until it’s gone. say it mo ?”
“When u had her, U wouldn’t do right.. Now just look!!! SMH!! Hey Mo u good girl!!! ??”, read another comment. Another questioned, “I hope this is in good gesture because I love her sweet soul and everything about her ???”
One person wished, “Oh how I want you guys to get back together ?”

Back in 2010, Monica met Shannon while looking for a love interest for her music video “Love All Over Me.”
The two quickly became engagement with Brown proposing with a rose-cut diamond ring. They would get hitched in a private ceremony at their home in Los Angeles.
Monica and Shannon revealed they were married in January 2011. They held a lavish ceremony for close family and friends in July 2011.
The singer gave birth to the couple’s first child, Laiyah Shannon, in September 2013.
Back in March, Monica filed for divorce from Shannon following eight years of marriage. Rumors had been swirling for months prior to her filing. The case was filed in Georgia Court, where the couple owned a home.
The divorce only became officially finalized earlier this month. Monica and Shannon are no longer legally married and are single. Monica’s last name was changed from Brown to her maiden name of Arnold.
Since filing for divorce, Monica has talked about the situation and effect on her kids. She said, “They’re definitely impacted. Even more than us because we know what’s taking place, sometimes, when they don’t. In their minds, they’re always trying to figure it out — they’re always trying to figure out what happened, why, and what the changes may be. So for us, my main focus was to make sure that they were okay.”
She even admitted her 11-year-old son asked her to stop the divorce from Brown. Monica revealed, “My 11-year-old asked me, ‘Can you stop divorce? Can you stop it?. I asked him, ‘Did you ask me that because you were asked or are you asking because it’s something you want to know?’ He said, ‘No, it’s something I want to know. Can you stop it, what does it mean, what does it take, what does it require?’ So I told him the truth.”
