The events of his day were almost too funny to be true. Winning his fourth NBA championship must have meant 'go big or go home' for the Warriors' guard who partied it up during the victory parade after beating the Boston Celtics in six games.

An Eventful Boat Ride Across the Bay

Thompson's day started with a boat ride across the San Francisco Bay to the parade. This wasn't any ordinary, uneventful boat ride though.  It was one where the bay claimed his 2022 NBA championship hat right off of his head while he was in the middle of an Instagram livestream. It didn't seem to bother him for too long because he said, "Oh no" and then let out a good laugh telling his viewers he lost his hat, and he has a backup ready to go. His backup, a captain's hat, seemed quite fitting for the day and the events that followed. Losing his championship hat was the first in a string of "things you just can't make up" moments for the 32-year-old basketball player.

Thompson told 95.7's The Game, "I did actually take the boat in today because it was the perfect glassy day on the water. It's funny, because I lost my championship hat in the wind. I do not condone littering. I tried to find her, but now she's one with the ocean, unfortunately. That's why I have the captain's hat on."

Dancing in the Street

Once at the parade, Thompson danced like Michael Jackson in the streets after setting the trophy down. That was one of few responsible moments of the day for him. Once his dance moves were done, he picked the trophy back up and kept on going about his celebration in the streets. Alcohol was definitely a factor at the parade, and Thompson seemed to indulge quite a bit. He was seen drinking Hennessy right from the bottle, according to brobible.

The Tackle Heard Round the World

At one point during the parade, he accidentally ran over a female fan who never saw it coming. He did stop in his tracks to help her up off the ground, but then quickly moved it along. Luckily, she didn't appear to be seriously injured after that surprise tackle, and now she has quite the story to tell.

The Party Attitude Continues

Thompson appeared to be having the most fun out of everyone. While greeting some fans, he dropped one of his championship ring on the ground. He fortunately found it quickly, kissed it, and continued on with his party attitude.

Warriors' Fourth Championship Celebration

During the finals, Thompson who played in his first season following back-to-back injuries, averaged 17 points, three rebounds and two assists per game against the Celtics. This win marks the fourth in eight seasons for the Warriors with the last win being in 2018. This year's championship parade ran through the streets of San Francisco for the first time since opening the Chase Center in Mission Bay. The previous three championship parades took place in Oakland.
