'Teen Mom' star Jenelle Evans has obtained a restraining order against her estranged husband David Eason after she claims he was abusive in several incidents. But, could there be more behind the protection she wants from him?
According to legal documents filed by Evans, she is concerned for her and her children's safety.
Jenelle says in the filing, David's threatening behavior has "escalated" recently, saying specifically "Because of his recent threats, his history of violence, his erratic behavior and his large stockpile of weapons, I am scared for my life and my children's well-being."
According to E! an order of protection was issued on behalf of Jenelle and her three kids, Jace Evans, Kaiser Griffith, and 2-year-old Ensley.
In the documents, the 'Teen Mom' star detailing 11 different incidents of alleged abuse at the hands of David over the past two years.
In one incident, Jenelle claims that she recorded David threatening her, who at the time, allegedly locked child Kaiser a running vehicle. "While Kaiser was trying to unlock it, David continuously locked it again with my spare key, scaring both me and Kaiser," Jenelle claimed in the documents.
In the recording, she says David tells her, "You can die for all I care. You're a piece of s. Biggest piece of s I've ever seen."
As we reported, Jenelle accused David of killing the couple's dog, by shooting it in the yard. Evans mentions the dog's death in the documents.
The ex-couple temporarily lost custody of their kids and were fired from MTV and 'Teen Mom,' after the news broke David had allegedly shot and killed their French bulldog.
The reality star detailed another incident, in the filing, where she says while traveling out of town for business David accused her of cheating.
He allegedly sent her a picture of a guy and wrote, "This is your new boyfriend. I'm going to break his neck and feed you his head. My goal in life is to make sure you regret leaving me like this."
Janelle says she has been the victim of both verbal and physical abuse and says, "given his actions, and knowing his temperament, I believe he was implying that he would kill himself if I do not come back to him."
She continues, "For all of these reasons, I'm afraid that David will harm me or my children, and that he will continue to threaten me using text messages, phone calls, or on the internet."
A judge issued Evans the restraining order, which orders David to stay away from her and the children. He is also barred from posting disparaging things about her on social media.
The reality star claims she has left North Carolina and is currently living in Tennessee.
Jenelle Evans lost a very lucrative job starring in the MTV reality show 'Teen Mom.'
At the time, the network made the decision based on the fact Janelle and husband David Eason had lost custody of their children.
The custody issues arose after Eason was accused of shooting the couple's French Bulldog for biting one of the children.
So, many fans of the show believe Janelle may be calling it quits with her husband, and cutting out all contact with him so MTV would consider putting her back on the show.
Jenelle broke the news via social media on Thursday that she has ended things with David, and now he has been ordered to stay away from her.
"I've mostly kept off social media the past few days because I've been focused on making some big life decisions. I've life muy life on camera since I was 17 years old. And a lot of it hasn't been pretty. But it's been my life," she posted.
She continued, "Like anyone else I want what's best for my kids and I want to be happy. With time away from Teen Mom I've started to look at my life differently and I know I need to make changes. I'm starting that now."
It makes sense, considering Janelle also picked up and moved to Tennessee from North Carolina. It gives the opportunity for cameras and producers to interact with her, without any worry of incidents involving Eason.
Eason has not responded to the temporary order.
