Nicki Minaj came for Wendy Williams after the talk show host brought up her husband's criminal past and the rapper went for the jugular by bringing up the affair that tore her family apart. The "Hot Girl Summer" rapper spoke out about Wendy on her Apple Radio show on Friday after the host brought up her nuptials to Kenneth Petty during a recent Hot Topics segment on her talk show. While Wendy congratulated Nicki on the wedding, she also brought up Petty's history and the rapper did not like that.
Nicki slammed Wendy for speaking ill of her husband and basically said she should keep her mouth shut on the topic considering her estranged husband, Kevin Hunter, reportedly got another woman pregnant while they were still married. "When you announce my husband, P, there’s no need for you to mention his past. Every time you mention him, you feel the need to bring these things up as well as something he was wrongfully accused of doing…” Nicki said on Queen Radio. She also added that while she understands that Wendy is a journalist, she could “report the news without that level of viciousness.”
The rapper didn't hold back, turning focus on Wendy Williams and insinuating her husband stepping out on her was karma for all the viciousness she's done in her past. "B---- where was you at when Kevin had his d--- knee deep in that b---- p----? I pray for you because I know you’re hurting and I know you must be sick and humiliated,” the new bride stated. But it wasn't just all anger spewing from Nicki's mouth. She also made sure to tell her listeners that she had been cheering Wendy on during her troubled times, but the sweetness didn't last long.
Nicki took a shot at Wendy insinuating it was her money that funded Hunter's affair, the birth of his baby and his new lifestyle. “I really want to pray for you. You sat up here being vicious all this time and you paid for this man’s mistress all the time,” Nicki Minaj said. She's not done either because she says she'll be be back next week on Queen Radio with more receipts on Wendy!
As The Blast reported, Nicki recently revealed she got married to Kenneth Petty last week. She showed off several bridal gifts including two mugs reading "Mrs." and "Mr." on social media, as well as a white "Bride" baseball cap. Her famous friends wished the couple well in her comments. "Congrats queen!" fellow musician Christina Aguilera, while model Winnie Harlow commented, "So happy for you Mrs.Bride you deserve all the happiness in the world." Nicki Minaj and Kenneth's rings were recently showcased by their jeweler too!
Showing off their wedding bling, the jeweler revealed her giant rectangular shaped diamond alongside what appeared to be her husband's wedding band. Kenneth's ring is FIVE rows of bling and is just as big as Nicki's diamond. Marriage isn't the only new thing in the couple's life. Speculation popped up this week that the rapper may be pregnant after she posted a tweet that said "Expecting a..." and quickly deleted it. She seemingly addressed the baby rumors by later tweeting another post stating "expecting an official date/time for #QueenRadio in the morning" and telling fans to "chiiiiileeeee."
Kenneth Petty has a criminal past that involves a conviction for attempted rape. He also got locked away and served hard time for killing a man. As The Blast reported, Nicki's husband pled guilty to first-degree manslaughter over the shooting death of a man named Lamont Robinson. According to the criminal complaint, on April 27, 2002 at 12:30 AM Petty shot Robinson "with a loaded handgin (sic) multiple times thereby causing his death." Although he was officially charged with manslaughter, Petty's lawyers were able to get a judge to agree to knock it down to manslaughter after he cut a deal. Nicki's man was sentenced to 10 years in prison, but only served 7. He was released on May 2013.
Nicki Minaj went public with Kenneth Petty in December 2018 and when fans found out about his rap sheet they lost it. Many were up in arms after they found out he was convicted of attempted rape on a 16-year-old girl.
