Lauren Conrad may have famously proclaimed her former bestie's boyfriend was a "sucky person" back in the day, but devotees of MTV's smash-hit reality series "The Hills" may collectively agree Spencer Pratt's recent specialty of divulging behind-the-scenes secrets, is a less-than-sucky gift!

Pratt's behind-the-scenes tidbits have been a regular component of his social media activity this year. The 38-year-old's latest juicy tidbit pertains to his 'Hills' castmate, Brody Jenner, and concerns matters of the heart!

What Did Pratt Reveal?

The hot tea Pratt spilled during his episode of the "Call Your Daddy" podcast was done all in the name of business.

He revealed on the podcast, via People Magazine, that his master plan included persuading Jenner, who was then dating Nicole Richie, to end their relationship and start dating Conrad.

"It was all good, to the point where I talked Brody into breaking up with Nicole Richie to fake double-date LC," he revealed.

Bros And Business: Crafting Addicting Reality TV

Pratt's desire to put the kibosh on one of the era's most popular star-studded romances derived from an aspiration to lead Conrad further into superstardom. There was indeed a method to his so-called madness; he believed Conrad's "nice girl" persona could be advantageous to getting her name out there among California's most elite celebs.

Pratt continued, "[It was] like, let me help make your life better by bringing the best looking guy in Hollywood right now, who all the girls want to date- I'll get him to break up with his celebrity, superstar girlfriend. I will get him to come on your show, pretend to be your interest... everyone wins."

However, Pratt's business-savvy mindset was not a win in Conrad's mind. His plan to make Conrad and Jenner's staged relationship the talk of tinsel town also involved him putting in a good word to his paparazzi contacts, People reported.

According to him, the Laguna gal would have preferred a more low-key relationship over the brewing 'showmanship.'

Her preference made no sense to Pratt.

After Conrad had allegedly balked at his paparazzi arrangement plans, he thought, "Oh, you're not all there... don't have a full deck running here as you're trying to be on your second television show," Pratt added during the podcast interview.

What Did LC Have To Say?

In Conrad's mind, she went ahead with the 'showmanship' just to please the show's producers.

According to the New York Daily News, Conrad revealed at the time of the series' 10th anniversary, "I just sort of let them do whatever they wanted."

She also added she and her alleged boyfriend "had no chemistry," and that the relationship "always just felt forced."

Jenner eventually grew tired of playing up their relationship for cameras. Talking about his friend, Pratt said, "Eventually Brody couldn't pretend anymore."

Pratt's Commentary About Conrad Wasn't ALL Negative!

Despite the fact Pratt pointed fingers at Conrad for failing to understand his plan to increase her exposure, he has previously given Conrad some credit in his behind-the-scenes 'Hills' Tiktoks.

According to Bustle, Pratt had revealed in a TikTok, filmed while watching an old episode of "The Hills," her presence in her ex Jason Wahler's life, was "the best part" about Wahler. Pratt had been watching a scene where his future wife Heidi Montag had been consoling Conrad after her break-up with Wahler.

The nostalgia wave for "The Hills" continues to flow on! The Blast recently not only revealed MTV was not only working on a reboot of the series featuring an all-new cast but also how some of the OG cast members had been feeling about the news.

"I can't believe they're doing this, to be honest," Audrina Patridge recently revealed on the TalkShop Live podcast. "We were all kind of shocked."
