New Papa Post Malone Revealed His Fiancée Saved His Life From Alcohol Addiction

Austin Richard Post, professionally known as Post Malone, got candid about his struggles with alcohol addiction and his fiancée's impact on his life. The songwriter recently released his fourth studio album, "Twelve Carat Toothache," on June 3 through Mercury Records and Republic Records.
In his latest interview to promote his album, the 26-year-old shed some light on his past and previous struggles with alcohol. He mentioned how a number of his friends tried to get him on the right path, but he wasn't in the correct mind frame to change.
Malone eventually got help from his still unidentified fiancée, who he said guided him out of a dark place into the light. The recent father also revealed that he started listening to people more and taking advice instead of just talking.

Malone hasn't had the easiest time. The artist recently opened up concerning his previous issues with alcohol and how he managed to get some help from his currently unidentified fiancé. He appeared in an episode of "The Howard Stern Show" on June 12 and revealed that while he was "responsible" now, he had it "really rough" at a point in his life.
In the interview to promote his newest album, "Twelve Carat Toothache," the artist revealed that he wasn't fully sober at the moment but doing much better. He said, "I am responsible now. It was to a really rough point, and I couldn't get up off the floor for weeks."
The "Congratulations" artist also made mentioned the drinks he took and how they affected him. Malone continued, "It was screwdrivers, it was vodka and it was bodying fifths and trying to hang in there and talking to people who weren't f--king there."
Justin Bieber Tried To Guide Post Malone
The rapper also talked about the positive impacts on his life and how a number of his friends tried to positively influence him. Malone revealed that Justin Bieber was one of such friends and that the artist tried to help him overcome his drinking problem.
Despite the guidance, Malone recalled that he approached the situation with an "I have to do what I want to do, and that's what I'm going to do" attitude, so it didn't make much of a difference. "There was a time where I had so much guidance and Justin Bieber was guiding me," he continued.
"[But] at the end of the day I have to do what I want to do, and that's what I'm going to do." Despite his struggles, the "Beerbongs & Bentleys" artist revealed that he never got professional help but was aided by his fiancée, who helped him out of his destructive slump.
Malone's Fiancée Helped Him Out Of His Addiction
Still talking about how he was able to overcome the addiction, Malone revealed that his fiancée made him feel like "a human being again" and saved his life. "I met a really beautiful person that made me feel like a human being again. It's the guidance out of the dark into the light... She saved my f--king life— it's pretty epic.
Malone also disclosed that at some point in his addiction, he decided that he needed to do "a lot less talking and a lot more listening." He said, "People can look at you from outside and see that something's wrong and you can be trapped in your own f--king world. I mean to do a lot less talking and a lot more listening… I'm 26 and I'm learning every f--king day."
According to the rapper, his substance abuse was due to low esteem, and he had learned to handle that. He recalled a time in his life when he was unhappy and felt like he "sucked." However, now he just wanted to be a better person with each passing day. "All we can do is just don't be a d--khead, that's the golden rule."
Malone And His Fiancée Welcomed A Child
In the same interview, Malone revealed that he had recently welcomed a baby girl with his fiancée. He shared the news by telling the host that he made sure he kissed his baby girl before going into the recording studio.
"That's been on the QT [quiet] though? We didn't know you had a daughter, right?" Stern asked, and Malone confirmed. He also mentioned that he was still learning every day and hoped to "be better every f--king day."
The rapper previously told People that he was expecting a baby and was excited for this "next chapter in my life." "I'm the happiest I've ever been, and for since I could remember I was sad. Time to take care of my body and my family and friends, and spread as much love as we can every day."
