Robotic Spider-Man CRASHES Into Building At Disney’s Avengers Campus

It looks like Spider-Man needs to work on sticking his landing!
Visitors at the Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure are used to watching Peter Parker’s robotic clones swing around the park during the “Web Slingers: A Spider-Man Adventure” attraction.
But, as Deadline noted, the Avengers campus looked like something out of HBO’s “Westworld” when one of the robots seemed to completely stop trying and smash straight through a building.

As you can see in the fifteen-second clip above… The Incredible Hulk he is not!
Guests at the Disney theme park love to watch Spider-Man fly through the air as he lands on top of a building t the Avengers campus. However, it looks like the Stuntronics robot forgot to read his cue card earlier this week and seems to give up.

In the video above, Spider-Man can be seen flying through the air, but his motions aren’t smooth and lifelike. Instead, his body is completely rigid. He’s tumbling with his arms and legs almost pinned to his sides before his body crashes through the side of a building as debris can be seen go tumbling down.
Deadline reported that no one was injured by the mechanical malfunction, so it’s okay to laugh!

It seems that even the designers have a sense of humor and knew that accidents were no doubt going to happen. Just after the incident, a voice could be heard, saying, “The Web facility is not equipped with airbags.” An upbeat Peter Parker then replies, “Okay!”
As guest Darren L. wrote in their caption, “Another happy landing? The show briefly stopped for a couple of hours but was back up and running later!”

A Disneyland spokesperson spoke with Deadline after the video was posted and also made light of the incident, saying, “As with any flight, there can be some bumps along the way, but Spider-Man was back in action in time for his afternoon adventures in Avengers Campus!”
It seems that Spider-Man took a break around lunchtime and was back up and running again by 2:30 PM.
Wasn’t able to get video, but keep an eye out.

Another guest posted a photo of a Disney worker fixing the damage to Twitter, writing, “Wasn’t able to get video, but keep an eye out. But this is what happens when Spider-Man hits the wall. It breaks away!”
The Disneyland News Today Twitter account obtained a clip of Spider-Man back up and running again.

They tweeted, “Following a rather crashy encounter with the W.E.B. Facility wall, Spider-Man is back to swinging above Avengers Campus again! 🕸”
Although the guest can’t see Spider-Man stick his landing through the trees, his web-slinging adventures definitely seems a lot more natural!
We'd love to hear what Tom Holland thought of the mishap... and speaking of Tom Holland, did you know he just turned 26? Check out the sweet birthday message that Zendaya left him on Twitter!
