New details have emerged in the mysterious passing of “General Hospital” alums Jack and Kristina Wagner’s son, Harrison Wagner.
The youngest of the Wagner kids suddenly passed away over the weekend and authorities are now saying more investigation needs to be done to figure out the cause of his death.
Jack & Kristina Wagner’s Son Dies At 27
As The Blast reported earlier, Harrison was found on Monday around 5:14 a.m. local time in a parking lot in the North Hollywood area of Los Angeles. He was pronounced dead on the scene and was just 27.
As we reported, the police were dispatched to the scene for a medical emergency and, upon getting there, determined that there was no foul play involved. The cause of death hasn’t been announced and authorities have begun looking into his sudden passing.
Jack and Kristina are yet to officially comment on the painful loss of their beloved son. The pair became an item after starring in “General Hospital” as the hit on-screen couple, Felicia and Frisco.
Jack and Kristina soon hit it off and got married in 1993. But their marriage only lasted for 13 years before calling it quits. They, however, co-parented late Harrison and his older brother Peter Wagner, amicably.
A heartbroken Peter has broken his silence on his brother’s shocking passing with a touching tribute. He uploaded a series of heartwarming throwback photos showcasing their tight bond when they were kids.
He sweetly captioned the post, “Always with you.” Frank Valentini, the executive producer of “Gener Hospital” also sent his condolences via a tweet that read, “On behalf of myself and the entire #GH family, our hearts go out to Kristina Wagner, Jack, and their family during this devastating time. We ask that you respect their privacy and keep them in your thoughts.”
Harrison’s Cause Of Death Deferred
According to a new report by Page Six, authorities are yet to determine Harrison’s cause of death as additional investigation is needed to narrow things down. A spokesperson for the L.A. Coroner’s Office revealed to the publication,
“Cause of death is deferred. Deferred means that after an autopsy, a cause of death has not been determined and the medical examiner is requesting more investigation into the death, including additional studies.”
The spokesperson, however, assured, “Once the tests/studies come back, the doctor evaluates the case again and makes the cause of death determination.”
The late 27-year-old’s last social media post left his followers with a strong message. He had written “Focus. YOU are left with YOU and your thoughts.”
Harrison had a history of drug and substance abuse and his father Jack often talked about it in a bid to raise awareness about the struggles of addiction.
Back in 2016, the “Melrose Place” actor got candid about Harrison’s addiction to drugs after he went missing following a relapse. Jack took to Twitter to share, “I’m going to ask those who want to share their fears, addictions & struggles to do so w me via Twitter. We can face them 2gether, I’ll start.”
In a follow-up tweet, he revealed the sad news, writing, “I fear for my youngest son’s safety. Harrison has struggled w drugs & alcohol just as I did when I was younger. He’s relapsed & is MIA 5 days.”
Luckily, days later, Jack announced that Harrison had been found. “Harrison’s been in touch. He’s 21 & in charge of his life, ty for the lv & prayers, please continue to share your struggles, it helps us all,” he wrote.
It’s unsure if Harrison was battling drug addiction at the time of his demise, as he seemed to be doing well. Jack seemingly confirmed that in a birthday post for his 25th birthday, which he captioned, “Happy birthday Harrison!! So proud of the work you’re doing for yourself in your life.”
Fans have since expressed their condolences to Jack and Kristina. RIP.
