On June 8, the family of the late Taylor Hawkins posted a lengthy statement on social media to thank Foo Fighters fans for showing their love for the late drummer after his death.

On March 25, Hawkins passed away in Columbia. Emergency services had been summoned to his hotel room after he complained of chest pain. However, he was found deceased in his hotel room. A forensic investigation revealed several different types of drugs in his body, including heroin, antidepressants, and morphine, among others, which likely triggered an overdose. However, forensic analysts also discovered that Hawkins’ heart weighed 600 grams – double the weight of an average man’s heart – at the time of his death.
