British pop star Harry Styles donated his paycheck to the International Rescue Committee after appearing in Apple's recent ad. The actor recently appeared in a commercial for the multinational company, displaying the spatial features of their AirPods.

Founded in the early 1930s, the IRC is a humanitarian organization known for its aid in large-scale humanitarian projects. Several famous celebrities are currently supporting the group and making donations to their worthy cause.

Styles joined the group of philanthropists recently when the singer gave up his paycheck for an Apple commercial. The commercial featured him singing a song off his album amid several dancing silhouettes.

Styles recently appeared in a new visually striking commercial for Apple AirPods. The ad promoted Apple's new Spatial Audio feature for the AirPods and showed dancers portrayed in blue, red, and pink silhouettes moving about with the device in their ears.

The commercial also saw the singer belting out the song "Music for a Sushi Restaurant" from his third album, "Harry's House." It also notably used the company's old ways of advertising the iPod with dancing silhouettes. Apple shut down the production of the original iPod last month.

Harry Styles Pledged Over $1 Million For The Everytown Gun Safety Support Fund

Before the IRC donation, Styles previously pledged more than $1 million to support the Everytown Gun Safety Support Fund. This came after the tragic Buffalo mass shooting, which resulted in 10 deaths, and the Uvalde shooting, which led to the deaths of 19 elementary school children and two teachers.

The British singer revealed his intention to make his North American tour a fundraiser for Everytown. Styles will reportedly play 42 sold-out shows in North America before the end of the year.

He released a statement on Instagram that said, "Along with all of you, I have been absolutely devastated by the recent string of mass shootings in America, culminating at the Robb Elementary School in Texas."

"On our North American Tour, we will be partnering with Everytown who work to end Gun violence, donating to support their efforts and sharing their suggested action items," Styles continued. Styles then shared links to Everytown in his post, encouraging his fans to aid the movement to curb gun violence.

Styles recently released his third solo album since leaving One Direction. The album, titled "Harry's House," includes 13 new songs containing a unique moment in the artist's life since his last album, "Fine Line," three years ago.

According to him, his time in Japan inspired him to make that album. It was patterned after Haruomi Hosono's 1973 album "Hosono House." During an Apple Music interview with Zane Lowe, he said, "It started as an idea. I wanted to make like an acoustic EP or something and make it all in my house and make it really intimate."

He continued, "As I started making the album, I realized it wasn't about the geographical locations. It was much more of an internal thing. When I took that title, put it to the songs we were making, it felt like it took on this whole new meaning. It was about, 'OK, imagine; it's a day in my house. What do I go through? A day in my mind? What do I go through?'"

Using his "day in the life" approach, the 28-year-old created a musical work that he said was "so much more intimate to me and so much more intimately made" than he initially planned. Styles said, "This is like my favorite album at the moment. I love it so much."
