Season 8 of “The Masked Singer” will be back on TV this fall!

After a controversial seventh season, some were surprised to see that Fox renewed the celebrity guessing game show for yet another season. The show is described as “A top-secret singing competition in which celebrities face off against each other and appear in elaborate costumes with full-face masks to conceal their identities.”

With seven seasons of celebrities unmasked so far, it remains to be seen who will take part in “TMS” season 8!

When Will ‘The Masked Singer’ Debut On Fox?

On Monday, June 6, Fox finally released its highly-anticipated fall line-up. As The Hollywood Reporter shared, “The Masked Singer” will be keeping its usual timeslot on Wednesday at 8 PM. The first episode of the eighth season will debut on Wednesday, September 21, 2022.

The show will be followed by “Lego Masters,” which is hosted by the voice of LEGO Batman himself, Will Arnett. “Lego Masters” had previously been teamed up with “TMS” last fall, so it looks to be a winning combo for Fox.

Starting on Sunday, September 11, “Monarch” will premiere at 8 PM ET. On Monday, September 19, “911” will return at 8 PM, followed by “The Cleaning Lady.” On Tuesday, “The Resident” will debut at 8 PM and “Monarch” will move into its regular timeslot on Tuesdays at 9 PM.

On Sunday, the familiar animated shows will return, including “The Simpsons” at 8 PM, “The Great North” at 8:30 PM, “Bob’s Burgers” at 9 PM, and “Family Guy” at 9:30 PM.

On Thursday, fans will notice that Thursday Night Football is now absent from the line-up. THR reported that Amazon’s Prime Video has picked up the rights to primetime NFL starting with the 2022 season, so Fox will place Gordon Ramsay’s popular cooking competition “Hell’s Kitchen” on Thursday nights at 8 PM ET, starting on September 29.

It will be followed by the debut of “Welcome to Flatch” at 9 PM. The third season of “Call Me Kat,” featuring current “Jeopardy!” host Mayim Bialik, will premiere at 9:30 PM.

During Deadline’s virtual Contenders event, executive producer Craig Plestis and judge Robin Thicke revealed that the cast and crew were already hard at work on the series’ eighth season.

“It’s a challenge to outdo ourselves and to come up with some things that are going to sparkle and get America excited,” he said. “I think there are some ideas that we’re playing with the network that is going to be super exciting and the first time that we ever see something.”

It is expected that the regular panel of Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg, Ken Jeong, and Nicole Scherzinger will make a return. Nick Cannon is also expected to return as host.

Deadline reported that the show, which has been filmed in Los Angeles for the past seven seasons, might switch things up by moving to another location, such as Las Vegas. However, that has yet to be confirmed at this time.

At this time, it is also unclear how the groups of singers will be divided. Last season, Fox divided the contestants into three separate groups: The Good, The Bad, and The Cuddly. Fans are sure to get more information before “The Masked Singer” season 8 debuts on Wednesday, September 21 at 8 PM ET on Fox.
