Woodley And Teller Are Close Friends
Since the duo starred in "The Spectacular Now" in 2013 and "Divergent" in 2014, they've seemingly remained close friends. Woodley and Teller are reportedly so close that they vacationed together with their partners last year before the 30-year-old broke up with her ex-fiancée, Aaron Rodgers.
The four of them, including Teller's wife Keleigh Sperry, vacationed in Hawaii in May 2021. They all hiked through the island and went on double dates in the evenings. At the time, Sperry documented the budding friendship between Teller and Rodgers while there.
Woodley and Rodgers reportedly canceled their engagement in February 2022 after being unable to see eye to eye on several issues. A source revealed that they initially tried to have another go at the relationship, but it didn't work out, so they officially called everything off.
'Top Gun: Maverick' Grossed $156 Million
According to CNN, the "Top Gun" sequel earned around $156 million during its four-day opening weekend, including its Monday tally. This bagged it the position of the biggest opening over the Memorial Day weekend, even surpassing "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End," which grossed $153 million in 2007.
"Top Gun: Maverick" was directed by John Kosinski and will shed light on Cruise's character, Pete "Maverick" Mitchell, and his return to the TOPGUN Naval aviation program. Almost 30 years after he initially graduated, the naval officer is tasked with becoming an instructor to a group of elite fliers.
Mitchell's new charges include the son of his late best friend, Lt. Bradley "Rooster" Bradshaw (Teller). Other pilots include Glen Powell, Jay Ellis, Greg Tarzan Davis, Monica Barbaro, and Lewis Pullman. Jennifer Connelly and Jon Hamm were also involved in the production, and Val Kilmer reprised his role from the original film.
