Actor Pedro Pascal seems to have his fingers crossed for a “The Mandalorian” movie.

The Emmy-award-winning live-action Star Wars series has been a staple for Disney+ ever since they launched the streaming service. This past weekend has been a time to review all things Star Wars at the annual event Star Wars Celebration, which took place in Anaheim, California this year.

During the fan event, the “Game of Thrones” alum sat down with Variety to talk about the possibility of turning “The Mandalorian” series into a feature film.

Although the “Wonder Woman: 1984” actor doesn’t have any idea if “The Mandalorian” really will be turned into a movie, he openly wondered if it was “inevitable.”

“That’s a good question,” he said. “Don’t you think it’s inevitable?”

“I personally... I have no idea, but that would be a dream come true,” he added. “Not that any more dreams could possibly come true! Maybe I’ve had my fill.”

Pascal plays the titular Mandalorian, Din Djarin. The third series of the show will debut in February 2023 on Disney+. Although many of the plot details are still under wraps, Pascal said it was “special” being a part of the galaxy far, far away, no matter what the future holds for his character.

“Yeah, and seeing just the trailer on a big screen like that, the way it envelops you and takes you back,” he said. “At the same time, it is beyond special to be able to kind of have the intimate experience that we do have with these chapters of Mandalorian and everything, its expanded universe, everything that is to come, everything that has just started as far as Obi-Wan Kenobi.”

“And we’re figuring it out,” he continued. “It must be amazing for you to kind of just see different ways of, like… seeing the entertainment industry evolve in so many new and different ways. I love going to the movies, I’ve gone back, going back and just being able to be with an audience again is one of the most important things to me.”

He added, “If it happens with The Mandalorian, all I can say is… please.”

Fans at Star Wars Celebration were treated to a first glimpse of the footage of “The Mandalorian” season 3. However, that footage has not yet made its way online, so fans who weren’t able to attend the in-person event had to wait a little bit longer to see what’s in store for Din Djarin and Baby Yoda AKA Grogu AKA The Child.

During the panel, it was revealed that director Rick Famuyiwa was promoted from director to executive producer. Actor Carl Weathers, who plays the character Greef Karga, will also be directing an episode for the show’s third season. Veteran director Bryce Dallas Howard will also be back to direct another episode.

During the panel, it was also revealed that Katee Sackhoff’s character of Bo-Katan Kryze will also feature heavily in the third season as the Dark Saber and Mandalorian culture takes center stage. The trailer showed shots of multiple Mandalorians geared up for battle, as well as at least three creatures that look like Babu Frik appearing in the first glimpse of season 3.

There are also several shots of Din Djarin with Baby Yoda, including one where Grogu watches fireworks from inside of a ship.
