Season 38 of “Jeopardy!” is drawing to a close. Co-host Ken Jennings revealed that “The Big Bang Theory” alum Mayim Bialik will be hosting for the next few months, but did say that fans will see him again before the end of the season.
With the end of the season fast approaching, many “Jeopardy!” fans have turned their attention to the upcoming Tournament of Champions. The 2021 Tournament of Champions took place last May, where Sam Kavanaugh emerged as the winner.
Here’s everything that we know about the Tournament of Champions so far, including when it will air, who will be the host, and who we can expect to see.

Unfortunately, we don’t have an exact date for the tournament just yet. However, it is believed that it will air in November. How do we know this?
In January, Amy Schneider made a splash with audiences when she created a new second-place winning streak of 40 games. First place still goes to Ken Jennings, who set a seemingly insurmountable win streak of 74 wins in a row back in 2004.
On March 31, Amy was invited to the White House for the International Transgender Day of Visibility. While she was there, a journalist asked her when she would be returning for the Tournament of Champions. Amy revealed that she was told it would air in November.

Ken Jennings then retweeted a tweet from White House correspondent Justin Sink saying that the Tournament of Champions will air in November, seemingly confirming the news. However, there has been no official notice from “Jeopardy!” at this time about when the tournament is expected to air.
Who Will Host The ‘Jeopardy!’ Tournament Of Champions?
At this point, it has not been announced who is going to host the 2022 Tournament of Champions. Mayim Bialik has hosted the National College Tournament in February and the Professor’s Tournament last November, so it seems likely that she will host this upcoming tournament as well.
That being said, “Jeopardy!” has still to name a new host. Many fans have their fingers crossed that “Jeopardy!” Greatest of all Time tournament winner Ken Jennings will become the next permanent host of the show, given his long friendship with late host Alex Trebek. He recently stepped down from NBC’s “The Chase” and “Master Minds,” so fans are hoping that means that he’ll be named the next host of “Jeopardy!” before the summer is out.
Who Will Appear In The ‘Jeopardy!’ Tournament Of Champions?
There are fifteen spots open in the Tournament of Champions. The “Jeopardy!” website has created a Tournament of Champions Tracker to help fans stay informed about who will participate in the tournament. Any winners that have won four games since January 5, 2021, are eligible to compete.
Sam Buttrey, who won the Professor’s Tournament, and Jaskaran Singh, who won the College Tournament, have earned seats in the tournament. Superchamps Amy Schneider, Matt Amodio, and Mattea Roach are also expected to participate. Current “Jeopardy!” champion Ryan Long is expected to be there, as well as Jonathan Fisher, Brian Chang, Courtney Shah, Zach Newkirk, and Andrew He.
It’s possible that Tyler Rhode, Jackie Kelly, John Focht, and Margaret Shelton will earn a seat if no one else manages to top their win streak. Then again, season 38 has been the season of superchamps, and it’s possible that “Jeopardy!” fans will get to see one more before the season is through!
