Ant Anstead is setting the record straight about his custody battle with Christina Haack.
The former couple has been going at it for the custody of their 2-year-old son, Hudson.
However, Anstead maintains that his reason for seeking sole custody of the toddler has nothing to do with taking Hudson away from his mother.
Ant Anstead Says He Doesn't Want To Take Hudson Away
Over the weekend, the "Wheelers Dealers" presenter posted a photo of his older kids during a recent visit to England.
In the series of images and videos shared, Anstead's older kids Amelie, 17, and son Archie, 15, were busy playing sports while he proudly supported them from the sidelines.
In the accompanying caption, the English star wrote, "Quick dash to Blighty š¬š§ Picked up by my mum. Archo game of cricket yesterday. Ammo game of rugby today. And some beautiful British weather. Time for Sunday roast."
The post caught fans' attention as they praised the motor specialist for being a great dad to his children. However, one fan asked a controversial question that has now made headlines.
The user wrote, "Donāt take away Hudson from his Mum. You will never forgive yourself Ant.ā In response, Anstead wrote, "Huh? Who told you that? Thatās the LAST thing I want! (Don't believe the click bait press) x."
As you might know, back in April, Anstead shocked fans when he filed an emergency motion, seeking sole custody of London.
As The Blast reported, the "Celebrity IOU Joyride" star asked the judge to change major custody arrangements for the sake of their son's safety because he believes Haack creates a "dangerous environment."
He accused the "Christina on the Coast" star of being a bad mother who was majorly absent for most of her son's life.
According to Anstead, Haack only spent an average of ā9 full days each monthā with their son over the last 20 months.
He recalled an incident of little Hudson suffering intense sunburn during a stay with his mother and also slammed Haack for using the toddler as a social media puppet.
Despite all of Anstead's claims, the judge denied his motion and asked that both parties settle their issues privately before a court-ordered mediation which will be held on June 15, 2022.
The 'Wheelers Dealers' Star Keeps Firing Shots At Ex-Wife
Amid all of Anstead's claims, Haack has maintained that the allegations are completely false.
In a statement released, the HGTV star said, "What Ant is doing deeply saddens me. If this was really about Hudson, as he says, this should have been handled privately with a private judge or mediation, as myself and my attorney have suggested."
Although both parties have tried to keep things civil, Anstead still keeps taking digs at his ex-wife's parenting skills.
Last week, Anstead took to Instagram to share a video of him and Haack having a swell time playing soccer. The clip caused a ruckus as fans attacked the 43-year-old for doing the same thing he accused his ex-wife of.
One fan asked, "I thought you didnāt want your son to be exploited on social media," to which Anstead responded, "Absolutely I donāt. Being a kid and capturing organic moments in the footsteps of a toddler Iām all in favour of! Itās a lovely diary to keep and look back on."
He continued, "But being a puppet āusedā for commercial gain and being made to perform makes my stomach sick. The two are of course very different x x."
Despite the hostile comment, Haack has maintained a positive attitude on social media not mentioning the scandal in any way.
Around the time Anstead was taking a dig at her parenting skills, the "Flip or Flop" star shared a heartwarming photo of her sons, Brayden and Hudson.
In the video, they sat side by side on carpet-covered stairs, wearing matching adorable outfits comprising cute pants, sweat jackets, and high-top shoes.
Haack sweetly captioned the post, "Occasionally Instagram is reality. Brotherly love," seemingly pointing at the fact that her social media posts aren't for clout.
Fans bombarded the post, showing support for the celebrity real estate investor and praising her for being the best mother.
