For a while, there has been a popular rumor that reality star and beauty mogul Kourtney Kardashian ripped off actress and beauty mogul Gwyneth Paltrow. Fans of Paltrow have pushed the idea that Kardashian's wellness brand, Poosh, is a big rip-off from Paltrow's own brand, Goop.

During a recent Instagram question and answer session, Paltrow answered several fan questions, including one about the alleged rip-off. This then led to her clearing the air about the suspicions regarding their wellness brands and clarifying that there was no such copying or rip-off.

One fan asked Paltrow (Via HuffPost) "Are you upset that Poosh copied you?" Most celebrities would ignore the question, but Paltrow decided to use the moment to kill the rumors and unpack why people are eager to create or assume there is a rivalry between businesswomen in the same industry.

In her reply, she wrote, "This idea that women need to be in competition is legacy patriarchy bullshit; there is room for EVERY woman to fulfill her dreams. I used to fall prey to this kind of thinking years ago, so I understand where it comes from."

She Is Happy To See New Wellness Companies

The "Iron Man" actress also said, "Now, I get so happy when I see new wellness businesses. There is a place for all of us, plus @kourtneykardash is a really good person." To buttress her point and her good relationship with the reality star, she used the hashtag" #KRAVISFOREVER," at the end of her reply.

The hashtag combines Kardashian's first name and that of her newly wedded husband, Barker, which forms Kravis. The couple recently got married at a private wedding with their family and friends in Italy.

Paltrow has never acted in a way that would indicate she has some beef against Kardashian, even after the "Keeping Up With The Kardashian" alumni launched Poosh in 2019. She released a statement on the official website that read that she founded the company because she "felt that there was something missing in the healthy lifestyle space." Although, this was the first issue many fans picked on.

Many People Accused Kourtney Kardashian Of Copying Goop

When Kardashian launched Poosh, there was an immediate negative reception, with many people accusing her of copying Goop. Many pointed out similarities, such as the double O's in the brand names, the similarity in beauty and wellness products, the Instagram and website design, and the high prices.

Many people accused Kardashian on social media of creating a rip-off Goop and trying to be the next Paltrow in the industry. One area fans pointed out was the similarity in the brand names, but Kardashian claims that she named the company after her daughter, Penelope, whose nickname is Poosh.

One fan tweeted, "Are we really gonna pretend Kourtney Kardashian didn't plagiarize Goop?" and another wrote, "Kourtney Kardashian's Goop knockoff, Poosh, is predictably bad and chockfull of half-assed listicles telling me things I already know or trying to sell me things I can't afford."

A few more comments about Poosh read, "So, is poosh just kardashian goop? it's insane that this tweet makes sense but it does," and "I know this doesn't matter but does anyone ever think of how Poosh is legit just Goop. I mean even the names are similar."

Barker Has Patronized Goop

However, the two women have made it clear through their actions that they are completely okay with each other. In fact, fans recently found out that Kardashian's newly wedded husband, Barker, has patronized Goop before.

Barker showed off his beautifully decorated bedroom during his recent exclusive house tour for Architectural Digest, including one interesting product on his bedside table. The drummer had Goop's famous "This Smells Like My Orgasm" sitting there but with a slightly different label that read, "This Smells Like Kourtney's Orgasm."

The change in the label could mean that the drummer had his candle custom made from Paltrow, which is a sign of at least a cordial relationship. The vagina-scented candle is one of Goop's most popular products, along with other items such as a jade egg that helps women in a "kegel-like physical practice."
