Kourtney Kardashian's Wedding Veil Paid Homage To Travis Barker

Kourtney Kardashian certainly had a dream wedding, considering it spanned three actual weddings, with two of them being legal, and a whole host of functions in between.
For the finale, the couple got married in Portofino, Italy and Kourtney abandoned her casual style and changed into outfits that reside in the pages of high fashion magazines. Plus, she wore a veil that paid the sweetest tribute to her groom and now husband, Travis Barker.
A Dream Wedding, And A Dream Dress
Kourtney's dream wedding could not have been possible without her dream wedding outfit, which came specially designed as a one-of-a-kind Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda. It's all lace and satin and modern beauty, like a corset mini dress.
The trolls went after Kourtney, saying it looked more like lingerie for the wedding night rather than a wedding dress, and technically, they were partly right. The dress came inspired by 1960s Italian lingerie and la dolce vita, and Kourtney looked like a diva in it.

Dolce & Gabbana's Instagram post described it as "The corset enhances the silhouette thanks to a design rich in exquisite cuts and realized following expert tailoring techniques that emphasize femininity."
The groom, as in Travis Barker wore "a double-breasted jacket with peaked lapels, classic trousers with pressed crease and side-band, both in superfine Italian black wool with tuxedo details in black silk satin."
Like Kourtney's lingerie dress, it's bespoke as well. Dolce & Gabbana also said, "the look has been completed with a white shirt, a black silk satin bow-tie, a golden cross brooch with black crystals and creepers-style shoes."
Kourtney Kardashian's Veil Has A Lot Of Meaning
Kourtney's wedding dress may have been short, offending the sensibilities of Instagram trolls, but her veil was as sweeping and grand as they get.
The wide, long tulle veil bore floral lace appliqués inspired by the flowers of the Mediterranean-style gardens in Portofino. And right in the center was a cross-stitch embroidery depicting the Virgin Mary, and the words "family loyalty respect".
The religious iconography reflects one of Barker’s tattoos, which he wears on his skull.

Fans were quick to comment.
"Oh wow!!! I never would have made the connection."
"Dude this is so meaningful I really love this beautiful detail it's everything 💖"
"I just love how they tailor everything they do and wear to match the other 😍😍"
"A marriage that put God in the center will last forever. Best wishes to the Barkers.🎉."
But then again, so were the trolls.
"Holy Mary? Are there no boundaries and respect for sacred symbols for these people ?? It's so wrong!!!!"
"Veil was beautiful but more dress lining needed to respect God during the ceremony."
"This is the most sacrilegious thing I think I have ever seen. I mean it's not that they have any devotion to the Blessed Mother! Her image should never be used as a decoration!"
"Thought the CATHOLIC church ONLY accepted white and veils for PUREness. Money buys exceptions. Especially of all the places, ITALY. SO MUCH FOR CATHOLICISM."
Getting back to Kourtney, she finished it off in true Kardashian style, with tulle gloves and some lace pumps.

After the marriage at L'Olivetta, a villa in Portofino owned by Dolce & Gabbana, the troupe returned to Castello Brown, for the after-party.

There the bride pulled another outfit change, swapping her white mini for a black, corseted lace mini, with a matching short black veil.

The couple then danced, and at one point Travis crooned to her as well, wearing matching white "Mr. Barker" and "Mrs. Barker" leather jackets.

The trolls may troll but the fans agree on one thing. "Have we ever seen her [Kourtney] this happy?
Meanwhile, guess who was the best-dressed of all the KarJenner clan? If you say, Kylie, you might be a little bit off the mark...
