Becca Kufrin & Thomas Jacobs Reflect On Their 'BiP' Split

"Bachelor In Paradise" has been known to give Bachelor Nation its fix of sand, surf, and has a surefire guarantee to deliver the franchise's signature sense of drama, but with plenty of sun-kissed vibes!

Last year's season of "Bachelor In Paradise" also delivered some of Bachelor Nation's current batch of long lasting couples!

Several couples from season seven are still going strong, including 'Bachelorette' alumna Becca Kufrin, and her boo Thomas Jacobs, who had been a contestant on Katie Thurston's season of "The Bachelorette."

Although the pair's paradise experience did not end in an engagement, the duo are still going strong and enjoying the low-pressure dating life.

However, Kufrin and Jacobs almost didn't have the chance to figure out what their personal version of bliss would look like.

The duo originally split up before leaving the beach after Kufrin felt like they had not had enough time to get to know one another in order to sustain a commitment. Us Weekly reported at the time Kufrin "felt like she didn't "know all of him" yet.

Now that Thomas and Kufrin have reunited and have been dating since their "Bachelor In Paradise" season wrapped, they have realized their short split was extremely crucial for their future success.

Kufrin was adamant in explaining she needed a dose of reality before she could consider getting into another relationship.

She told E!, "When we were dating on the beach for that short amount of time, everything was smooth sailing. It was perfect... but for me, I needed more of the real life. I think to go through that break-up in that very short courtship ultimately brought us back together."

Navigating those waters during their split was hard for Jacobs. He initially begged Kufrin to reconsider her decision, a move that really stood out to her.

"I think [Jacobs' reaction to the split] was game-changing for me. Because I have never really had somebody fight, I would say tooth and nail to want to keep a relationship with me," she explained after their split. (via Us Weekly)

Jacobs has complete confidence in their decision to reunite after taking time apart, despite how devastating the break-up was for him at first.

"We broke up on the beach," he said, "At that point you don't have a responsibility to anybody to be together unless it's to each other to be together..."

Hindsight also helped Jacobs process what could have happened between him and Kufrin had they decided to remain apart.

"I know for me... that's a lot more real. We could've chosen just to walk away and no one would've said anything. We chose each other and continue to choose each other every single day," he recently told E!.

The incredibly busy Kufrin has somehow found space in her schedule, (she has been on tour with The Bachelor Live On Stage), to plan on planting some roots with Jacobs.

The pair are currently looking to settle in San Diego, California! (via E!)

While Kufrin and Jacobs have found great success after opting to forego 'The Bachelor' franchise's 'traditional' road of a lightning fast journey to the altar, the idea of tying the knot isn't fair from their minds!

Kufrin spoke of the possibility while chatting with her "Bachelor Happy Hour" podcast co-host Michelle Young as per an article in People, and said "Life has just been so crazy right now because of the [Bachelor Live] tour and obviously, I've been all over and back and forth. And I think like, we just kind of need to back into my groove and get settled..."

There's no hesitation from Kufrin when it comes to the idea of wedding bells ringing in the distance!

"But I think [an engagement] would happen," she continued on "Bachelor Happy Hour," I mean, I know it will one day. I just don't know when," she concluded.

There have been many "Third time's a charm" jokes made about Becca Kufrin's quest to find true love, but the pair's endearing happiness with each other makes the old saying completely true for her and Thomas Jacobs!
