Mayim Bialik Complains 'Jeopardy!' Fans Are Picking On Her Wardrobe... Again

Actress Mayim Bialik really doesn’t want fans critiquing her wardrobe.
“The Big Bang Theory” alum has made several allegations that fans have been criticizing her fashion choices online. In a recent interview with the New York Post, she doubled down on the criticism she claims she is forced to endure because she is a woman.
Mayim Bialik Says ‘Jeopardy!’ Fans Pay Too Much Attention To Her Wardrobe
In a recent interview with the Post at the Fox Upfront in New York, Mayim was critical of the attention she claims her outfits receive because she is a woman.
“Most men wear suits when they go there, so yeah,” she said.
“The face is we don’t live in a culture where I can wear a gray suit and then a blue suit,” she claimed. Mayim has previously claimed that co-host Ken Jennings can get away with changing the color of his tie to put on a different “outfit,” whereas she told Drew Barrymore that she received criticism for wearing the same orange blazer too many times on the show.
“But maybe next year, we’ll see,” Mayim said, adding, “I don’t think anyone should think about it so much, especially me.”
“I’m one of these people who think red carpets should have a standard set of dresses for women so we don’t have so many,” she added. “You can do long sleeve or short sleeve — that’s it and everybody goes home.”
Despite the pushback she claims she receives about her fashion choices, she went on to say, “It’s incredible to be surrounded by the writers and researchers who work to create ‘Jeopardy!’ And, yes, to work with contestants and people who know a tremendous, vast variety of information, it’s incredible.”
Mayim’s Fox Sitcom ‘Call Me Kat’ Was Just Renewed For A Third Season
In addition to hosting “Jeopardy!”, Mayim Bialik also directed a feature film and lead the cast of her Fox sitcom “Call Me Kat,” which was just renewed for a third season. The show stars Leslie Jordan and Cheyenne Jackson, who was just unmasked as the performer behind the Frog Prince on season 7 of “The Masked Singer.”
“It’s very unusual for multicam shows to have the opportunity for a third season,” she told the outlet. “We know there’s not a lot of us left.”
“To be an employed actor is a very unusual thing,” she continued. “I think of the hundreds of people who work to make our show what it is and that’s everyone on our staff and our crew. Camera operators, carpenters who start their work at 10 at night, people who clean up after us, those people have a job in a very complicated economy and that makes us happy.”
The mom-of-two also said that she identifies as “both a geek and a nerd” and broke down what each of those terms meant to her.
“Geeks usually associate more with like the ‘Star Wars’ or the ‘Star Trek’ or the ‘D&D,’ which I have those parts,” she explained. “And the nerd is, I think that my idea of a good time is reading academic papers. So I’m kind of all those things, I guess. In my normal life, I fall under the very, very nerdy, geeky category. I don’t normally look like this. I look like a normal nerd walking around the street.”
Based on the online discourse, it seems that most “Jeopardy!” fans don’t really care if Mayim Bialik looks like a geek or a nerd. In fact, they don't seem to care what she wears at all.
They just want to watch “Jeopardy!”.
