Nina Dobrev & Shaun White Turn Heads At Her Ex's 'Top Gun' Premiere

Actress Nina Dobrev and long-time boyfriend Shaun White turned heads on the red carpet.

“The Vampire Diaries” alum just finished filming her new movie “The Bricklayer” in Greece, where she and her retired Olympic snowboarding boyfriend posted plenty of poolside snaps.

Although the two have been dating since 2020 after meeting at an event hosted by Tony Robbins in 2019, the “Top Gun: Maverick” premiere marks their red carpet debut as a couple.

The two stepped out for the “Top Gun: Maverick” London premiere on Thursday, which just happens to star her ex-boyfriend, Glen Powell. The two reportedly dated back in 2017, but it seems they ended things on friendly terms.

On Thursday, Dobrev, 33, and White, 35, matched in an ivory ensemble. Nina sported a bold red lip and pulled her hair back in a tight bun as she wore a floor-length silk gown with a high slit to reveal her toned legs. White, meanwhile, paired an ivory blazer with a black bowtie and black pants.

The two were photographed laughing together on the red carpet and staring romantically into each other’s eyes.

Fans of the couple have been waiting for engagement rumors to pop any day now.

The two moved in together at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown, and things seem to be going great between the fun-loving couple. Earlier this year, Nina, who has been shy about posting about her love interests in the past, has been filling up her Instagram page with pictures and videos of their time spent on their vacation in Costa Rica. The couple went ziplining, had a spa day, and spent plenty of time at the beach.

According to Page Six, a close friend of the couple revealed that she expected White to pop the question after he got back from competing at the Winter Olympic Games in Beijing earlier this year.

“They are so freaking cute and solid together,” a friend of the couple revealed. “I would not be surprised if an engagement happens any day now.”

“They share so many interests, they’re both driven, they’re both into self-healing and well-being,” they continued. “They’re both very spiritual and motivated. They’ve both worked so hard for so many years to make their own careers, so now they’ve decided that any free minute they get, they spend with each other.”

The two actually have a lot of common interests, including snowboarding. In an interview with E! New’s Daily Pop, Nina couldn't hold back gushing about her gold-medal-winning boyfriend's past Olympic achievements prior to his last competition.

“I actually have been snowboarding since I was really little,” Dobrev explained. “I skied first and then I switched over to snowboarding at probably 8 or 9.”

“I think [White] was more surprised when we went [snowboarding] for the first time,” Dobrev continued. “He was expecting to wait for me and it was quite the opposite. I had already passed him by a landslide … I can keep up!”

Last October, White had told People that he has a “beautiful relationship” with Dobrev. “Nina’s incredible,” White said. “What an influence on my life.”

“Not only does she run her own show, her own world, companies she’s involved in, things she’s producing, all this stuff going on,” he continued. “She holds me to this same high standard which is so wonderful to have in a partner.”

He said that spending time with Nina in lockdown really helped him figure out what he wanted to get out of life.

“I used to derive so much self-worth and things from these exterior events of competing, winning this award, getting this sponsorship, and doing these things, all these stuff,” he said. “Obviously, it’s been an incredible journey and I’m very pleased, not regretful of what I’ve accomplished in my lifetime and career.”

“To realize that those things of spending quality time with friends and family. During this pandemic, that’s what you have — the people around you,” he continued. “They just mean so much more to me now with age and time, and the recent events in the world. They just mean so much to me.”
