Madonna wants to express herself, but Instagram isn’t about it.
The material girl has been banned from Instagram Live due to a “violation of community guidelines.”
On Thursday, May 19, the pop singer attempted to go live with her 18M followers, but was met with a big red message that read, “Live is temporarily unavailable for this account.”
Madonna Is Blocked!
Madonna couldn’t believe what she was reading.
“We’re blocked from Live? What’s happening?” she said. “I’ve never worn so many clothes in my life. I’m speechless.”
She captioned the video, “Not Us!!!! violation of community guidelines………. 👀🚨”

One person commented, “Welcome to the banned club. We are the modern Witches.”
Another wrote, “Bravi..👏we are not violating the guidelines, Instagram keeps blocking me I can't post your videos that blocks me ...😪”
“LMAOOOOO nooooo let Madonna live,” another impassioned fan wrote.
Madonna and Instagram have been at odds in recent weeks.
The social platform has deleted her overtly salacious snaps in which her nipples were shown.
Madonna did not take kindly to the deletion.
Madonna Doesn't Agree With The Guidelines
She clapped back writing, "I'm reposting photographs Instagram took down without warning or notification…..The reason they gave my management that does not handle my account was that a small portion of my nipple was exposed. It is still astounding to me that we live in a culture that allows every inch of a woman's body to be shown except a nipple. As if that is the only part of a woman's anatomy that could be sexualized. The nipple that nourishes the baby!”
She continued to compare a female’s nipple to a male’s nipple.
Madonna Tried To Free The Nipple And Was Banned
“Can't a man’s nipple be experienced as erotic ??!! And what about a woman's a** which is never censored anywhere. Giving thanks that I have managed to maintain my sanity through four decades of censorship…… sexism……ageism and misogyny.”
Madonna concluded, "Perfectly timed with the lies we have been raised to believe about the pilgrims peacefully breaking bread with the Native American Indians when they landed on Plymouth Rock! God bless America.”
Instagram community guidelines states, “Post photos and videos that are appropriate for a diverse audience. We know that there are times when people might want to share nude images that are artistic or creative in nature, but for a variety of reasons, we don’t allow nudity on Instagram. This includes photos, videos, and some digitally-created content that show sexual intercourse, genitals, and close-ups of fully-nude buttocks. It also includes some photos of female nipples, but photos in the context of breastfeeding, birth giving and after-birth moments, health-related situations (for example, post-mastectomy, breast cancer awareness or gender confirmation surgery) or an act of protest are allowed. Nudity in photos of paintings and sculptures is OK, too.”
Madonna talked about the blocking on her Instagram Story.
While talking to someone on the phone she said, “I don’t know, it’s weird. We tried to go live and Instagram blocked me, but they’re being really mysterious about why. I don’t know why. They’re not giving me a reason. It’s like a bureaucracy inside a computer.”
