Singer Ed Sheeran just revealed that he welcomed another baby girl to his growing family!
In 2019, Sheeran married wife Cherry Seaborn and the two welcomed their first child together in 2020. Believe it or not, Sheeran and Seaborn were actually childhood friends, and has reportedly been the muse behind songs like “Photograph” and Taylor Swift’s “End Game.”

Although they went to the high school together, the two reportedly didn’t reconnect until 2015, when Sheeran was touring in the U.S. and she was working on Wall Street in Manhattan. In 2016, Sheeran announced that he was taking a break from music.
In a 2017 interview with Zane Lowe of Beat’s 1, Sheeran recalled, “We were basically like, ‘Let’s both quit our jobs and let’s have a year of forming a tight bond and a relationship.’ So we went traveling and spent every day for a year together.”

On January 20, 2018, Sheeran revealed that the two had gotten engaged! The “Shape Of You” singer posted a snap of the two on Instagram with the caption, “Got myself a fiancé just before new year. We are very happy and in love, and our cats are chuffed as well xx.”
They reportedly had a low-key wedding in December 2018 before holding a bigger wedding the following year. A year after that, Sheeran announced on Instagram that they were welcoming their first child together.

On September 1, 2020, Sheeran posted, “Ello! A quick message from me as I have some personal news that I wanted to share with you... Last week, with the help of an amazing delivery team, Cherry gave birth to our beautiful and healthy daughter - Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran.”
“We are completely in love with her,” he continued. “Both mum and baby are doing amazing and we are on cloud nine over here. We hope that you can respect our privacy at this time. Lots of love and I’ll see you when it’s time to come back, Ed x”

On Thursday, May 19, the “Bad Habits” singer posted a picture of white baby booties on a brown blanket.
“Want to let you all know we’ve had another beautiful baby girl,” he captioned the snap. “We are both so in love with her, and over the moon to be a family of 4 x”
Fans were quick to light up the post with heart emojis. This just marks another bit of good news to celebrate, as he recently won his copyright lawsuit earlier in the year.
Ed Sheeran Makes Poignant Statement About Music After Winning 'Shape Of You' Copyright Lawsuit
Sami Chokri and Ross O’Donoghue claimed that Sheeran’s 2017 single “Shape Of You” stole “particular lines and phrases” from their 2015 song “Oh Why.”
The “The A Team” singer was denied over £20m in royalties, which were frozen until the copyright infringement case was resolved. Fortunately for Sheeran, the London High Court found Ed Sheeran and his two “Shape Of You” songwriting collaborators – Snow Patrol’s Johnny McDaid and Steve Mac – not guilty.

Shortly after the verdict was announced, the “Overpass Graffiti” singer posted a minute-long video to his Instagram page. In the caption, he wrote, “Dealing with a lawsuit recently. We won and I wanted to share a few words about it all x”
“Hey guys,” he began. “Me, Johnny, and Steve have made a joint statement that will be press released on the outcome of this case, but I wanted to make a small video to talk about it a bit, because I’ve not really been able to say anything while this has been going on.”
“While I’m obviously happy with the result, I feel like claims like this are way too common now and we’ve become a culture where a claim is made with the idea that a settlement will be cheaper than taking people to court even if there’s no basis for the claim.”
“It’s really damaging to the songwriting industry,” he continued. “There’s only so many notes and very few chords used in pop music. Coincidence is bound to happen if 60,000 songs are being released every day on Spotify. That’s 22 million songs a year and there’s only 12 notes there available.”
“I don’t want to take anything away from the pain and hurt suffered from both sides of this case, but I just want to say I’m not an entity. I’m not a corporation. I’m a human being. I’m a father. I’m a husband. I’m a son.”
“Lawsuits are not a pleasant experience,” he continued. “And I hope with this ruling, it means in the future baseless claims like this can be avoided. This really does have to end. Me, Johnny, and Steve are very grateful for all the support sent to us by fellow songwriters over the last few weeks. Hopefully, we can all get back to writing songs rather than having to prove that we can write them. Thank you.”
